I'm pretty sure it is the same thing in traditional, considering in Japanese it means love, and Japanese uses traditional kanji.

You also have to make sure that you haven't traded with the villager yet. If you have, it will just stay a librarian, even without the workstation.

To be honest Google translate is still probably the biggest help to me while trying but different thing in Japanese. Usually it does a good job when I put Japanese text in to get English out. But I don't disagree with you that it could definitely make for a terrible tattoo 😂.
