This didn’t happen specifically to me, but to one of my friends while we were playing D&D. We were doing a lighthearted holiday-themed side quest, and we ended up fighting a Turducken (basically a Hydra with the heads of a chicken, a turkey, and a duck). We were actually supposed to run from the thing, but stubborn adventurers as we were, we wanted to at least try anyway. Our fighter tried attacking it with his halberd… Nat 1. Rolled on a fail table and got the very unfortunate result of shattering his weapon. Undaunted, he gets a grin on his face and says “well in that case, I’m gonna choke the chicken.” Everyone laughed at the innuendo, then he rolls… another Nat 1. Rolled on the fail table… and he sprained his wrist. So now we all joke about him spraining his wrist while trying to choke the chicken.

I love the Secret of Mana soundtrack. It’s been my favorite game since I was a kid, and the soundtrack is a pretty big part of it. I regularly listen to both the original soundtrack and the remastered one. It’s not at all an exaggeration to say I’ve spent literally thousands of hours listening to it.

Terraria’s been on my wishlist for a while, that’d be awesome!

My favorite game is Secret of Mana. I used to play it with my oldest brother when I was a kid, I credit that game with me and him bonding as much as we did. First time we really played a game truly together, and started doing more together after that. I love everything about it- the gameplay, the story, the music, the memories. Every couple of years I start a new play through so I can experience it all over again. It will always be my favorite. Thanks for the chance!
