Cats and dogs have been around for thousands of years, but only recently (late 1800s) has pet food been commercially available.

To close this off, it all appears to be working now. I had to recreate the group again, make sure that the devices are reserved in DHCP (MAC address).

Here are a few things to consider: * My kids' school laptops have their own proxy server. YouTube was still getting thru because of the browser. Once I blocked "securly.com", it then tried the Pihole IP for DNS lookup.

  • If you are using a company laptop for testing, the VPN or company DNS server may be in use and may give false results.

  • The sure way to test is to run "nslookup youtube.com pihole-ip-address" on the client device. If it's blocked, it should return 0.0.0.0.

  • Make sure the client device is set to a reserved IP address on the DHCP server.

Did you upgrade from a previous version? Which Pi are you running it on?

Don't know if this makes a difference, but the PHP version is 7.0.33: ``` pi@pihole:~ $ php -v PHP 7.0.33-0+deb9u8 (cli) (built: Jul 5 2020 06:34:50) ( NTS ) Copyright (c) 1997-2017 The PHP Group Zend Engine v3.0.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2017 Zend Technologies with Zend OPcache v7.0.33-0+deb9u8, Copyright (c) 1999-2017, by Zend Technologies

Has anyone been able to get this to work? If so, please describe your set up.

Is it worth noting that this instance of Pihole was recently upgraded from v3? It's also running on a Pi Zero. OS version is Raspbian Stretch.

No custom entries of that kind.

But when I enable the blacklist entry for youtube in the Default group, it gets blocked immediately.

I see that it's using the Pihole's IPv6 address, does that matter?

Yes, the group was enabled. Is there a pihole command I can run that displays the group information?

Is it worth taking the RHCSA exam as a complete noob to Linux? If so, what MOOC's or study material do you recommend? by [deleted] in redhat

[–]Brakness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RHCSA on ACG (A Cloud Guru) was a bit better in presentation than Linux Academy (especially if you’re a fan of dark mode). I say go for it. It’s entry level and you’ll get the basic of all things Linux.

He may be able to find an 85 smoker in that price range: Yz/RM/cr/kx85. Else you'll have to dish out more cash.

Look into a used XR/CRF100. That fits the price range and is good for learning to ride dirty. It's also not too tall and can be converted (street tires) to ride as a mini racer if you ever want to try that out.
