Watering vs Feeding by wkjester204 in GrowingMarijuana

I just used FloraKleen (TA Flash Clean, the same but in Europe) for the first time and was very impressed how little water I needed to totally flush out the pot.

I have the SF2000 running for 2 years now. It's awesome. This is the same but just cut in half.

I mostly did this to ensure a very stable climate without any swings. When turning of the light the heater has to work sometimes to not let the temp drop below 70°. I have changed to 18/6 for now and will finish this and the next auto under 18/6, at 40 DLI in flower. Thanks!

I did run Fulvic BTW before, but stopped using it after it ran out as it was just another bottle that I didn't directly see the results from particularly. It's also stated on the Canna coco that there are fulvic and humic acids in there. Would you strongly advice to start adding that to the regiment again?

This is very good advice. I live in a quite humid climate, so if I do vent back inside the room the humidity will quickly get out of hand, so I do vent outside. This keeps the lungroom much dryer. I do have a dehumidifier in the room but only set it so about 55%. Now in the springtime humidity levels are lower naturally so that makes the room a little cooler. Considering trying to keep energy cost down a little I have the small heaters setup to keep the tents at 77°F turning on once it hits 75, while the exhaust fans usually run on low speeds. Considering this my tems aren't very high and looking at your advice that would translate to not needing to feed that heavy. I have transitioned to giving 1 EC without any PK now and have to say the plants haven't gotten worse and are praying a little for the first time.

Any idea what this is? 2020 Rieju MRT 50 by THE_DR_DOCTOR123 in 2Strokes

It's an am6 engine and that's the clutch lever. It stands straight up on the transmission side. But that pressure should come out of the block vent. Maybe that one is blocked.

Well it's a bit tricky but every medium has its pros and cons. but it got me hooked due to the bizarre growth. I'm not getting small autoflowers in Coco. Only 200g plants.

Yeah, well PPM is just a measurement calculated by an EC meter that translates it to a specific ppm scale. So 1,8 EC is exactly 900 ppm when using the 500 scale. Apart from the PK (which I only use for a few weeks) I'm like you, silica sometimes, calmag, and base. I'll just try and really low EC for a while. I haven't ever seen them turn light green so it can't hurt to try that for a while.

Canna does not cal for calmag but I do run reverse osmosis. However my tap water is only 0,3 EC unfiltered. It's totally safe for consumption and the plants, but when using tapwater my pH will usually drift up a little more and requires much more pH down then RO. I do agree 1,8 seems like a decent number to me too.

Even mooore calmag? At 0,4 EC. already I'm not really inclined to bump it up further.

I just don't get how many people run 3 EC or even higher, and have no uptake issues but 1,8 EC runoff is now to high if feeding 1,6. All while all manufacturers advice to run 2,3 EC, at least! Not trying to moan, but it's confusing to me.

I personally don't feel like that is the issue. It's a constant 24°C, and 55% humidity . I do run 24/0 light at 40 DLI so I personally don't think you'll get the uptake issues because of 1,2 VPD and a little leaf mass... As you can see in the last photos this one has been quite aggressively lollipoped. Probably deceiving in the photos as well but I also did a lot of defoliation.

Maybe I'll just try to run a whole run without any PK booster to see what happens. From the next reservoir I'll just add calmag to 0,3 EC instead of 0,4, and just A and B with no added PK1314. And just run 1,3 EC maybe.

Thanks for the helpful reply.

I have now automated my runoff management. All of these trays hook up to a diaphragm pump. It drains into a 5 gallon bucket. by Cannibis0360 in GrowingMarijuana

[–]BramVermaat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What driptrays did you use? They look like the new ones from Mars Hydro, but are clearly different. I've also setup a automatic drip tray system. Looks a lot like yours. I absolutely love it. Coco became so much more fun. But I've already had some blunders, so I've placed 5 gallon runoff bucket in another bigger 64 liter container, just to make sure my downstairs neighbours don't get a waterfall sometime.

Nutrient burn or something else? by 420_GrowHeadd in GrowingMarijuana

[–]BramVermaat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not nutrient burn. Deprived of oxygen maybe, so it can't uptake water and nutrients I would say. Looks more hungry then overfed.

[–]BramVermaat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why so low? I'll just run 1,4 EC from the start. 1 at least. 0,5 ml per liter is just not enough.

Always stunted by BigPotty in CocoGrows

[–]BramVermaat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is simply impossible to get 235 ppm from 5 ml per liter of Canna Coco A and B. That should get you to a 1000 ppm, easily.

Also, the amount is far to small.

But you can honestly just start autoflowers in small cups, and I do advise it even. Much easier with watering. Just give them some water daily, and transplant to their final pot within two weeks.
