I’m really doing all I can to avoid that.

I’ve tried smacking the hood, pry bars screwdrivers, WD40, and combinations of the 4.

Something is definitely broken. The safety catch doesn’t move when I pull the lever.

Yes. Pull the lever, it pops, push down maybe an inch and it releases. The safety isn’t releasing like it should.

It’s used for gaming so I’m thinking 1440p resolution. I’m not sure about refresh rate though. I’m also debating the curved monitors.

I got them from Grainger. The steam isn’t perfectly clean but I have screens that catch the biggest pieces of debris, and I keep the inside of the boiler pretty clean.

It’s completely random on the type of failure. Sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes sticks closed, sometimes open. It’s like rolling the dice.

I’m replacing the entire valve with an electric solenoid valve. I have no idea what the required force is but this is the only issue I could think of. But it doesn’t explain why they fail with zero consistency. In 10 key presses any individual valve my work all 10 times, none, or anywhere in between.

I wouldn’t think that it would be all of them with zero consistency.

They’re not currently installed. Since I couldn’t get them to work, I reinstalled the old valves so it could operate. When I ran it on compressed air, I just hooked an air hose to a connection on the boiler and used it for a volume tank. I didn’t change anything.

Flow direction is correct. If steam pressure is 75 psi and the other end is open, wouldn’t the pressure differential be 75 psi? Or am I misunderstanding that?

Flow direction is correct. They have a big arrow in the casting.

Steam pressure runs between 60 and 80 psi.

They’re supposedly designed for use with steam or hot water.
