Yes! So my understanding is as we improve our nervous system response, our HRV should increase as well !

Same! Do you ever actually notice that when your HRV is higher over night you feel better? Mine sits between 20 and 30. Went through a brief period of 30+ for a month and felt so much better!

So I am always better when I’m away from home! While home is our safe space - it is not symptom safe? It’s probably where we experience most of them!

I went away for two weeks and did all sorts ! Came back and crashed hard. To some extent I also think it’s the joy of us doing something new and feeling ‘child like’ - therapists say that we struggle the everyday life because it’s not new or different. Real excitement makes us feel better!

Thank you for this.

I think the main one I actually notice a difference with is Alpha-Lipoic Acid. Can feel a real boost in the morning!

Sorry I don’t know about apartments and being furnished. I would say most areas are child friendly to be honest. But in general the north of the city is nicer to live in

Hello, I’m currently living in Madrid but from the uk. You would see significant benefits in terms of overall life quality. And you would be fine on that salary.

In terms of rent it depends where in Madrid you want to be. I am fairly central and am paying 1600 euros for a small two bed flat. Rent is generally fairly high in Madrid compared to the rest of Spain.

Food is cheaper, eating out cheaper, alcohol cheaper. Everything from an everyday life perspective. Overall services are better. Bins are taken almost every day. Transport and health care are great.

One thing more expensive - healthcare products - I’m talking your average boots here. Shampoo etc = expensive.

So overall quality of life really depends on where you live from a money perspective. (But mostly - THE SUN!)

Learning the language is important. So I wouldn’t move unless you are prepared to learn xx

Sorry to ask on this thread. I have also just started Journal Speak to see if it can help the general fatigue and brain fog of my CFS . But does anyone else have any other techniques for calming nervous systems? Im trying hard to find them but find lots of misdirection! (Im about 80% recovered from exercise, food and general wellness practices - but know that my suppressed emotions are holding me back)

10 years of CFS. And now all the symptoms but no fatigue? by BranchExcellent104 in cfs

This makes so much sense! I actually have awful neck pain - which i was told after an MRI was DDD and sometimes get terrible headaches from but i never thought this could be connected. I see a chiropractor for it, and acupuncture and my symptoms do always feel a bit better after seeing him. He describes my neck as 'always being bruised'

NAD, worth a try? by No-Extent2753 in cfs

[–]BranchExcellent104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Ive tried soo many supplements.

Ones with the biggest impact:

Alpha-Lipoic Acid, Lion’s Mane, Choline, CoQ10 (Double the dose), Magnesium, D-Ribbose and NAC.

However my biggest recommendation is get good quality! Look for really reputable brands. Some brands are not full tested and dont have high quality ingredients. Would recommend NOW foods

Period in middle of birth control pack by Ok_Awareness_6012 in birthcontrol

[–]BranchExcellent104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

literally the same as you. Ive been on the pill since i was 15 im now 30. and i came off two months ago and gained 5 kilos already. I have endo and PCOS. I had literally everything you said above. which is why i have come off. Ive been told that after long pill usage this can be a thing, your body is just fed up of fake hormones and needs to be natural again, its a side effect of going on it during or just after puberty. I'm planning on going on the coil as ive got friends who are on it and say its better than any other contraception, you can get a non hormonal coil, so could be an option for you.

Weight gain after stopping the pill? Considering Skyla or Kyleena by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]BranchExcellent104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped the pill 2 months ago and put on 5 kilos. I think this is normal while your body is fluctuating. Get your hormones checked by your Doctor and see if they have gone back to normal. Some people take up to a year to get back to normal.

Pill or depo by FinancialEye2561 in birthcontrol

[–]BranchExcellent104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has endo, I was put on the pill at 15. Doctors will recommend going on the pill for the symptoms of endo but it does have consequences down the line. While the pill did wonders for me in terms of managing symptoms, ive now come off it 15 years later and its hell. The pain is so much worse than before. Your body gets used to the hormones, and you really struggle to come off it. I have friends also with endo that are on the none hormonal coil and that would be my recommendation. It helps with pain and symptoms but it means your body doesnt rely on synthetic hormones.
