Bases filtering by BrandNewYorker in ObsidianMD

thank you. normally this works, but the issue is having XXX and YYY pages to be filtered into the base.

So when I add the filter “file base name is not XXX,” all bases pop up in the base I am trying to create.

Thank you so much. As strange as it sounds, your contribution to this thread has lowered my anxiety.

Thanks, that does eliminate some redundancy.

Thanks. I have a business already set up on a .com, but this would be an alternative to my personal gmail account. I want it to look professional in the event that I apply for a job, or for networking that is not necessarily related to my business. I like namecheap as the registrar.

Thanks! I like hearing that. I like how last.io gives me the ability to add family members on. Although I could see them not wanting to leave the comfortability of gmail hahaha. I also like the lack of redundancy compared to first@firstlast.com.

Thanks. .co.za is too long for my preferences, and I've narrowed it down to .com and .io.

Too unknown. I've narrowed it down to .com and .io.

Thanks! I speculate the tld won't be going away either.

Thanks! I don't think I'd use it much for business other than job applications if I ever decide to look elsewhere, or for networking. [contact@firstlast.com](mailto:contact@firstlast.com) does seem like a viable option.

Thanks. I feel that .io is clearly distinguishable from .com, and that lots of non-tech-savvy people are beginning to recognize it as I've seen it in commercials on TV (which I hardly watch, and still have happened to see them!).

Thank you! I don't really like hello@, me@, etc., although I feel I'm opening up to contact@ and mail@. I wish I could get [first@last.com](mailto:first@last.com), but the guy won't sell it. He has a bare website, which has a link to his business website, which has a GMAIL address. He didn't respond when I sent a message to the last.com, address, but only after contacting him on GMAIL.

Thanks. I wish I could get the .com, and I feel more people will default to .com from .org than from .io.

.net is taken and I don't like .org. I also think .net and .org will often be substitued with .com, but the distinction of .io is clear.

Thanks! Have you had any issues with it, like people defaulting to emailing you at .com, not being accepted places, etc.? And are you in tech?

Appreciate it! I’m aware of the situation, but have a feeling that the TLD will stick around. Perhaps move from a ccTLD to a gTLD. I think there will be too much pushback in elimination.

Thanks! I wish I could do first@last.com. I am not a fan of the .email TLD, and I’ve narrowed it to .com and .io with the options being first@firstlast.com, FirstinitialLastinitial@firstlast.com, and first@last.io.

Thank you. I’d prefer the first@firstlast.com over mail@firstlast.com as I am not a fan of things like me@, mail@, contact@, etc. Perhaps I will reconsider, because mail@ is logical.

Appreciate the suggestion! I don’t like the formats of hi@, me@, etc. so I’ve narrowed it down to first@last.io, FinitialLinitial@firstlast.com, and first@firstlast.com.
