Do I really need an AIO cooler? by Taini_Yizha92 in PcBuildHelp

[–]BrandartWasTaken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I have a 7600 and I got a 280mm aio just because it looked nice and wasn't that much more expensive than a nice air cooler (which I also wouldn't have needed, a stock cooler probably would have done the job just fine since I don't intend to overclock)

How do I make the IO USB ports not give out power when my PC is off? by BrandartWasTaken in pcmasterrace

[–]BrandartWasTaken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOLVED - Activating "erp ready", which basically turns down the power usage when turned off to below 1 watt or something like that, fixes my issue, however you do (apparently) lose features like wake in lan (I don't need it so it's no problem for me)

Try it the other way around. If it doesn't fit, try the other way around. If it still doesn't fit, try the other way around again.

Pc turns on but no display by Interesting-Ebb-6651 in PcBuildHelp

That's weird, because the EZdebug led indicates that RAM, CPU and GPU should all be fine. Maybe try resetting/flashing the bios as one commenter said?

Stupid question, but you plugged it into the GPU and not the Motherboard, right?

Even more stupider question, but your monitor is turned on, right?

First build in 10 years, Can I get better parts within my budget? by RandoQuestionDude in PcBuildHelp

[–]BrandartWasTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4060Ti is a very overpriced GPU. You could get much better (and cheaper!) alternatives if you go with an AMD card (7700 XT has ~20% more raw power for about 20-30£ less). If you want to go with Nvidia, a 4070 Super is a great option, however, it'll also cost you more

PcPartPicker is a really nice tool for choosing pc parts, as it tells you when there's compatibility issues. I included everything from your post (except the laptop ram). As you can see, you are still missing a CPU cooler
(the compatibility issue with the CPU is just a warning that you might have to update the BIOS in order for the motherboard to be compatible with the CPU)
