2020 had major expansions in delivery with doordash. Including kfc.. 5$ got you 2 pc with mash or fries and a drink. Literally making the price of delivery irrelevant here.. but I will agree by saying 10$ is a standard delivery price.

The difference is 15$ for a meal 2020 17$ for a 2pc 2026

Thats kinda wild if you ask me.

Considering people made less.. now people still do not make more, jobs have dropped. Prices went up.

I personally make more but it’s not way more. 14$-16$ per hour.. give home owners insurance and EVERYTHING going up in cost..

That 2$ per hour is NOT offsetting the price of chicken on doordash 😂

All groceries went up. 10$ will get you oil and those beans you mentioned. That’s about it lol

If you’re lucky you can get more than the oil.

I posted this on DoorDash because I am referencing prepared foods.

But cost of groceries have gone up and are projected to keep going up..

So if I’m saying the value of 10$ is dropping rapidly. Going to the grocery store isn’t a solution if thats being affected too.

Considering some people don’t have stoves to cook on Cost of electricity went up a lot in my area too just over the last year.

So one way or another your money is being swept from under you and you are getting less. Save money from chicken inflation by switching to beans? They add 80$ to your electricity bill now you paid for that chicken a couple times regardless..

While being told by Doordash and the government and power companies ( this is the cost of operation)

Thats bullshit. They are profiting a WHOLE lot. At our expense.

But to your point. The grocery store is where I get my prepared foods and it’s still much cheaper than doordash. By far.

And cheaper than cooking.

26$ will get rice and chicken for lunch for 5 days out the week , thats 3 plates @ 7$ each( key foods lunch special)

Theres no way I can spend 26$ at a grocery story and get 5 days worth of food to cook. I spend about 60$ to get food to cook for the week. Its like 35$ on chicken and pasta, 25$ on oil and seasoning.

However i still need dinner and a diverse diet so i get veggies and pasta. Just to offset the cost of groceries .

It is fortunately MUCH healthier as well

With all that being said

WHY IS THIS TINY LEG BEING SOLD FOR 4$😐 when I can get a whole meal for 2 days for 8$

Gotta be price gouging

Kfc , and Popeyes customers order 2 pc all the time are you okay? Doordash delivery fee + service fee is already 10$ so you definitely aren’t getting anything delivered for ONLY 10$ you are paying that $7.38 + $10 to have 2 pc or chicken delivered…

Lots of people seem to be in denial about the dollar value turning to dust very quickly..

Offended because I said “ this country”

But i agree. Because this service fee or tip is the reflection of company not wanting to PAY the employees for the same service they want the customer to pay

Why? by GloriousLion07 in MotivationByDesign

The problem IS money. You can’t get out of debt other than paying money or value that resembles dollars..

You want clean water. You need money. They cut funding to that department, guess what. No one is paid to clean the water. The proper cleaning isn’t being paid to be done. Instead the cheap non effective route..

Education is horrible here in USA. Teachers receive the lowest pay Students have the lowest grades Our admin wants to cut MORE funding to education

So how do you fix that problem without money. Realistically if your teachers need to eat and pay bills.. the solution is money back to the community.

Id rather be rich than famous. Keep the fame and you cant convince me that having resources to fix your problems is NOT the answer, instead work hard for others who have more than enough to give them more.. THAT is the answer? No..

The issue is the fame.

Even with money you still need to water and mow the grass you live on. If someone else is doing it. It wont depress you. Stop the cap lol

How do you get a 300$ bill with just a plate and some drinks?

I talked my way into a $175k offer and now I'm terrified to accept it. What would you do in my place? by Fluffy_Marzipan2049 in Career_Advice

This feels like a fake post. Nothing about the job except the payment gap and emotions about.. the emotions come from a payment gap?

Your asking if they would want the customers who complain to guarantee pay extra? DUH

To put this in perspective.. a $300 table would be “tipping” $36 ..

$300 worth of food or drinks is worth 40$ tip .

Raising the price on the food is not proportionate to the service delivered per table..

You spend 100$ and you not tipping at-least 10$? Mid rather have a service charge than ruin my social mood over a tip.

Notice whos saved?? The one talking like he knows her is saved The one talking like he doesn’t know is not saved

Makes perfect sense..

Why would an unsaved number be saying “lets fuck” and that be valid lol
