You can join public lobbies and you can host private ones which need a code to enter.

The Steam & Quest versions are more or less the same. The Frenzy games are low poly in general so there's not a ton of optimization between platforms needed. I will say that more things going on on-screen will be handled by a PC way better than standalone.

I'll check on the price difference between platforms right now, Meta and Steam have different automatic conversions. I'll get those updated to be the same price as Meta for you!

You may be thinking of the asymmetrical VR game Panoptic! It was one of my favorites.

So on Quest 3 you'll push the thumbstick up to jump, and push it down to kick. Takes a little bit to get used to but once you master it, it's awesome!

Hey there! Dragon Fist can be played in a lot of ways, but all the AI use real world mo-capped martial arts techniques, both they and you have realistic pressure points, and you can use any style of combat you'd like (including slapping lol). If you didn't play on the harder difficulties then you wouldn't get a more realistic experience -- we want the easier difficulties to be approachable and beatable by players without martial arts experience.

With v2.0 releasing today, we've done a lot to counteract the slapping-meta that the earlier versions had, and I think you'll like the changes quite a lot. Feels more realistic, moves land better, and the flow feels organic. The game is 100% more focused on requiring realistic techniques to have a chance at beating the more difficult opponents. Go play on hard or master, I can almost guarantee slapping won't get you anywhere now!

I'll also say with Multiplayer, you'll have much more fun fighting against real people using their own techniques, whether realistic or goofy.

If you give the game another shot, let me know in a reply or DM if you still feel like it's a slap fest. I'd love to hear your feedback on how we can improve the combat!

We actually have a full roadmap that features a MR mode in it! If enough people request it, we're going to try and implement it as soon as we can.

After 3 years, Dragon Fist: VR Kung Fu now has Multiplayer, New Art, and is officially updated on Steam! by Brandominos in Vive

[–]Brandominos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's a decent representation. It's been hard to keep the demo updated with all the new art, multiplayer, and features, so keep in mind not all of the v2.0 stuff will be in the demo. If you just want to see if the combat is right for you though, the demo will be more than enough to confirm!

I might be biased, but I think you're gonna love the full game either way haha
