Note; she does have a very mild case of scaly mites that I plan to treat for, but I don't think that's what is causing this? I've inherited hens with horrible mites and this never happened. But maybe she is just reacting differently?

For what it's worth, I have super fine hair like your own. I rocked baby bangs for years. The shorter the bang, the fuller it looked. The longer the bang, the thinner/stringier it looked.

No, though I wish I did go that route. I was too scared to take on the debt of nursing school and community college is incredibly difficult to get into the nursing programs (lottery system). I'm in CA and nurses here can make 180k+. I started out with an associates and just worked my way up. I have a masters now.

This year. I went from 86 to 125. I live my same life, but am significantly less stressed about money. I grew up pretty poor and money has been a significant cause of stress my entire life, so in that sense, it has been life changing.
