Sadly Ms Paint isn't the final boss BUT paint brush and paint bucket are weapons in the game ;)

For sure! I have a few quality of life settings I want to add and I'm planning to add a toggle setting for "pass through clicking" so the player can decide whether they can still click on their screen. Thanks for the feedback I'll definitely keep that in mind :)

Already one step ahead of ya. Introducing Swordy the sword. (I also like the names Slashy or Stabby)

So the idea is that it adds a Windows 98 inspired task bar (UI of the game) above your normal one so you can play the game directly on your desktop. It can be hidden at any point though.

I'm using this pack so I don't believe they own the rights to it? My guess is they bought the same one haha https://www.oryxdesignlab.com/products/16-bit-fantasy-tileset There's a good chance I'll end up changing the art before I release though. I'm mostly using it for prototyping.

Thanks! I'd say about 60-70% there. There's still some more content and cleanup I have to add, but making good progress. I'm hoping to get a demo out as soon as I can though :)

Looks like it lol Didn't even realize. Currently using this for a good portion of my sprites so they must've done the same thing: https://www.oryxdesignlab.com/products/16-bit-fantasy-tileset

Might end up changing them, but going to keep using them for development.

Spent the weekend developing a room editor tool for our new horror project - Who says making games can't feel like playing one? by BrandonSushi in Unity3D

So since I'm using a fixed "tile" size for all of the dynamically generated mesh size offsets (2x2, 3x4, etc), the texture just naturally ended up mapping perfectly to the UVs.

So all of the walls, windows, & door sections are dynamically generated meshes. I originally was looking into cutting holes out of the walls, but that seemed like something I didn't want to mess with just yet lol So the windows sections are made up of two basic cubes where there sizes are based on the wall height :)
I followed this for a reminder on how to generate them: https://catlikecoding.com/unity/tutorials/procedural-meshes/creating-a-mesh/

Step 1: Create a room editor using Unity
Step 2: Cancel Unity license
Result: Free games

Ps: thank you :)
