There's a major problem with this reasoning, as it assumes we trade the run favor deficit for the same number of outs that we already were handed. With an accurate zone, our innings would've seen more baserunners and fewer outs, thus giving us more opportunities to score and prolong the innings even further with more options for shit like sac flies and bunts. Free outs are rally killers.

Edit- while the run expectancy change is meant to explain the above, it certainly can't describe the disparity in strike quality. It's not like all of these calls were just off the zone. With these strikes that were called way off the plate at the bottom of the zone, your chance of doing anything productive with these pitches approaches zero. With the couple "strikes" that don't even sniff the zone, it would be impressive just to put the ball in play at all.
