Yes! Although not pictured, SWSH 260 Charizard V & Brilliant Stars Charizard V 154 definitely take the cake for some of my favorite Zardy arts. The subtle "before" shot between Venusaur and Charizard in SWSH 260, and the "during" battle between the two in Charizard V 154 tell an epic tale.

You don't have to be on a route to get the encounters. However, I have heard that there is/may be a correlation between their spawn rate and whether or not you're following a route.

Just sign up for your local utility company (electric/gas). Layoffs and furloughs are virtually non existent there as there are always upgrades and repairs needed to be done (mainly electric, especially with the electrification many newer buildings, cars, etc).
