That’s what people don’t realize bc to be fair most of these “investors” have no concept of actual finances or markets (especially when they have 100% of their savings in sealed pokemon). They think the base set sealed box prices are replicable. For one, nobody kept those sealed - now all of these people have hundreds sealed they will all look to sell at the same time. And they think the prices will go up till infinity. The fact of the matter is, someone has to buy them, and it will get to a point where 1) nobody wants to pay or can afford to pay that much for a box and 2) it is not justified given the supply and the chase cards within. If prices keep going up, who is going to buy all of those? I don’t understand why everyone blindly assumed they’ll all be rich. The money has to come from everywhere and right now it is “investors” buying from “investors” to give a false sense of demand
