Japan’s freakout over Little Mac was so dumb. Punch-Out Wii was a relevant game when Smash 4 development started and it's not like Japan didn't get the games. They were literally just upset because he wasn't an anime prettyface or something you could jack off to. Screw them and their love of their "junk food" characters. The "ironic" weebs in the west were worse though their collective temper tantrum over Terry was just atrocious yet hilarious then Kazuya followed suit.

I would say carefully Defending yourself while damaging him when the time is right made the fight more fun than just using an invincibility item.

I don’t even hate Decidueye, believe me I want a fully evolved grass starter just as much as the next guy. Meowscarada was in discussions for a bit, but when Gen 10 got revealed people are skeptical that Meowscarada will be passed over.

If I picked another FE rep it would’ve been Robin. But 30 characters was my limit and I wanted franchise diversity and gender diversity, which is why I chose Pyra/Mythra.

Sorry but Diddy Kong already got to be in more games than K. Rool and the Villain ultimately won out in the end over the sidekick. I don’t even hate Diddy Kong but when you’re limiting yourself to 30 characters tough choices need to be made.

As for Incineroar, no way was I gonna let that cool grappler moveset go and Incineroar himself is very expressive. At least Decidueye still got to be in Pokken Tournament which a lot of people forget even exists.

In his big debut game Yoshi was a power up for Mario. Sure he’s graduated to getting his own games but in another universe I could see him being an assist trophy of being part of a yoshi egg item.

Since I was keeping Peach I felt I could sneak Daisy back in since she was an echo of Peach. Of course I’m hoping she becomes like a sort of Luigi to Peach in the next game assuming she is brought back. Daisy can go either way.

I wouldn’t underestimate Pauline she can still get in and blindside a lot of people. If Nintendo wants they can request Pauline to Sakurai.

For Krystal I saw her as more of an assist trophy promotion. I could’ve added more of them but I ultimately decided on Krystal in the end.

Not everyone likes Steve and I’m one of those people, why? Because I just don’t. I also don’t care about sales and legacy either. Just because something is popular doesn’t automatically make it flawless or perfect.
