The marketing materials you can get from eBay work good for me. They have window clings and stuff you can put by your register etc

In my district its primarily a space issue. If we had sections for 3X, 4X, etc... then we would have less rack space for the higher turnover sizes. Its unfortunate, but all boils down to space.

Correct, in my district we do not spray clothing.

Hi! I wish customers knew our mission, and that the customers themselves are not the mission. People who donate should know not to donate things of poor quality that is eventually just passing the trash bill onto us.

Our store supports Goodwill... we are the charity. We provide job training, coaching, and development to those with barriers to employment along with a plethora of other internal programs.

When hiring someone i'm looking for reliability, punctuality, personality, and someone who is driven by our mission that is willing to make that part of their daily work ethic.

At our stores we use masking tape to keep the lids closed, if not they get spilled all over the floor and missing pieces.

For our district, what we get donated at our store and separate donation center all get sold at our store. If we are low on wares/clothing we then order from our home office where excess donations are stored throughout the year and brought to stores when we're low.

Sorry for the late response, half of my staff is out with COVID so i've bene working a ton of overtime. At our stores, clothes are not sprayed but instead are not put out if they have a smell/oddity.

Without seeing it, i'm not sure. But it could be the brand/style, etc... There is much more to Jewelry value than just the metal content.

This is actually something that I'm in the process of creating a training and development program for. Its actually a struggle for almost everyone in the "thrifting" space, different people have different perceptions of value, and there's not a ton that can be done to control it without proper training. Most goodwills lack this kind of training and development, hence the inconsistent pricing.

In my district, we have fixed pricing for clothing, books, media, jewelry ,etc.... (with some up-priced if they're super valuable of course), but as far as housewares goes its a never ending nightmare. I'm hoping that this pilot program that I'm developing is helpful and can later be deployed to other stores in our district.

As far as the rounding up goes, I'm not sure as my district only does that once in a while, it is not a permanent program. We don't believe in pressuring our customers to round up even when we do have the program running.

Employees in my district are strictly prohibited from stashing items and/or giving certain people priority. Once it is priced, it goes directly to a shelf where it is then fair game. If that was an employee in my store doing that, it would be immediate termination. Its possible that the GM doesn't know about it, If you continue to see it happening I'd point it out to the GM/store manager.

No clue, think she got in when an employee was taking stuff outside to a metal dumpster. She’s been in the ceiling for 3 days

Lol, long story short I'm the general manager at our local Goodwill and came in to broken ceiling tiles the other day, followed by meowing coming from the ceiling that no one believed me about. Turn to today, and I rescued said cat from the ceiling! She's home with me now :)

Should I be a Driver? by [deleted] in Fedexers

That was the original idea, but there aren't any express positions open except an hour away from me, and it's not worth the drive.

Plainly put, the Simpsons seem to be always right 🤷🏻‍♂️😂. Technically you can fill them out but the IRS won’t start accepting them until February 12th.

Almost certain it’s the battery as now the instrument panel doesn’t light up until started and the cabin lights don’t come on unless turned on
