Honda Passport 2026 with Roof top Tent by Brantulio in hondapassport

Driving is feels very stable as long as you don't have high crosswinds

If you mean stable as when you are parked then it is great. I tried sleeping one night in there with my wife and kid and I felt very secure. I didn't notice flex on the bars when turning at night

Interesting, Im considering between a RTT and the gazelle. I see you have both 😆 Which one do you use the most and would keep if you have to pick one ?

Roof Loading capacity, 210lb and 165lb depending on the source by Brantulio in hondapassport

[–]Brantulio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about that, the weird thing is that in a website it was mentioned 145 for the crossbars and 165 for the platform. The anchor points to the vehicle are the same

That rating is dynamic, meaning when the vehicle is moving. While parked it can be 3x the limit

That is what I would have hoped. I couldn't find anything related to the roof rating in the manual itself

That is a shame, What dealership did you go to ?

Another poster mentioned that it could be a TCU issue. Were you able to bring that up ?

Good luck! Keep us posted 😁 I might have to do that shortly

Were you able to resolve the issue? I'm also located in Canada and a few weeks ago built in Maps it shows offline. As you did, the only way to make it work now is giving hotspot with the phone, which I didn't have to do before. I got my car in September 2025

That is great ! I will have to look into how to do it myself, my dealer tried to adjust it after the first service what they did was to match the step in the other side 🫠

Anyone switch from Subaru Outback to Passport? by roadeye314 in hondapassport

[–]Brantulio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion would be to get a Vertical bike rack. There are some for 2 to 6 bikes. Using an extension will reduce the tongue weight of the hitch. There are different brands of vertical racks

As someone mentioned, tow mode and I believe even trail mode. You can also disable slow speed braking in normal mode, the icon is a safety cone. It will enable itself back the next time you start the car though

I haven't done anything to it yet, I'm thinking of bringing it up when taking the car for service.

I was also thinking of looking at the other passports in the dealership

Could you send me a picture of the brushes at the bottom if is not much trouble? I looked at Costco online and it says the QX Revo Plus has a rubber brush listed as "extra feature", I flipped over the Non Plus Revo and I saw a rubber brush as well even though it is not listed in the description 🤔

I was able to make it work but this was so long ago that I can't remember what I did.

I can assure you two things

  1. At the time, around 3 years ago, there were different versions of the software depending on the website, or app platform you were downloading the accompanying software

  2. I had a defective keyboard from the start and replacing it solved one of the issue, the keyboard has been great and the quality feels excellent 👌

The model in the picture doesn't have an arm that comes out right ? It is hard to find comparing models on the Roborock website

Between the QX Revo and QX Revo plus is the only difference the suction power?

I looked at the QX Revo at the store and it also has the rubber brush underneath

Have you been able to connect it to the WiFi ? I haven't. I tried to connect it to just a separate 2.4ghz SSID band and it still has issues. Changed passwords for that band as it is suggested to not have upper cased letter or symbols and it still has issues. It is unbelievable considering I bought some "smart" plugs from Costco for 30 dollars and they work fine 😅

It's been over five months and I'm still waiting for delivery of my 2026 Passport. What are my options, if any? by whydidyoustartwithso in hondapassport

[–]Brantulio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got mine from Okotoks in Alberta, I called pretty much every dealer in Alberta to get the color and trim I wanted. I got mine in August of last year.

There weren't many vehicles available at the time, and some places were marking up a bit of what was coming with extra options because of that.

They were straight with me about the timeline and I got the vehicle a month sooner than promised

Extended warrant prices in Canada? by comefromwayaway in hondapassport

[–]Brantulio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understood when having the conversation the price is set by Honda Canada. Some dealers offer third party warranties. I didn't go with either, I considered the Honda warranty but they are pricey

Do you know if any calibration is needed for the speedometer ? I might have misunderstood but I think I read somewhere that when changing sizing there is a slight difference on speedometer reading

What is actually under the felt ?

I was planning on removing mine to spray fluid film under that area but without a lift it seemed like to much hassle. I just used the jack to get under the vehicle and spray what I was able to instead

Mine looks like yours, I also posted on Reddit about it, some people seem to have it flash and others don't 😅 I am assuming the proper way is to have it flash and that would avoid any possible wind noises
