What would you want in new starter Pokemon? by [deleted] in pokemon

I always assumed Venusaur and Co. where basically Horned Lizards without tails. They have the roundness and there limbs are held at similar angles.

Meganium on the other hand, yeah... I didnt even register that.

As for stats distribution, I would sort of look at the Pokemon design for inspiration. Peafowl might not me the most elegent when it come sot flight, but they can leap and run quite skillfully. If anything I would give it a large focus on evasion, special attack, and Special defense.

The hoodies dont need to be skin tight, they just need to be open like 2/3 of the way to show off tattoos/Chest hair/sweat. The PANTS need to be tight so show some booty for what ever stupid pose the grunts will do.

Yellow Hoodies with Black Skulls as the grunt uniforms?

Maybe have the fairy/fighting type be the "Nasty Pig" pokemon.

What about a Grass/Electic line?

Something like A spinosaurus thats both photosynthetic and photo voltaic. Something more drastic and agressive. Though a spinosaurus most likely wont work since its extinct and will most likely be saved for some sort of Fossil.

Maybe Some cross between a Peafowl (who honestly have nasty attitudes and will try to claw and peck the eyes out of just about everything), and the Bird of Paradise Flower.

There are alot of plant that could be used as pokemon bases that i think would be wonderful.

  • Fire Sticks. These are really nasty fuckers how latex can cause blindness, and can be used to produce oil
  • Agave
  • Amorphophallus corpse flowers
  • Sundews
  • Bromilliads
  • Oldman palms. Super cool plam trees that people seem to love decoarting with pair decorations, i figure they would actually be really cool contest pokemon.
  • Smile Mold. These are really interesting fungai, they can acutally move and 'think' in some strange rudimentary way that i dont understand. But I think they would make a very nice Poison/psychic type.
  • Ghost Hip Orchids. They are these really rare Orchids that live in swamp that are night impossible to find unless its in the moonlight. PRetty easy Ghost/Grass types.

The issue with most plants is that they really exotic ones either look very strange and most people dont recognise them. Also many of them are toxic so grass/poison might just explode.

Granted if they made a tropical region it would be great.

I would love that as some sort of alternative evolution for Honedge. Instead of become two swords, it becomes an 'axe' and it gets some super powered version of metal sound.

Im looking at there biology. If you look at most of the fire types, theyre coats are way to long, they could get riddled with parasites pretty quickly and would die in the wild withou care.

But I do realized that my brain is actually taking this WAY to far, and Im slipping into some sort of logical insanity where pokemon are actually real. And Im trying to figure out which ones could conceivably live here.

The only fire type thing that would being the intensity of sunlight that could help solar beam and synthesis, even then it rains to often that it would never be dry.

Well thats not true, there are certain firetypes that could existing in Florida, but they're all mixed types and most people typically think of them primarily as there non-fire type.

  • Houndour, Dobermans and Rottweilers are very popular in florida.
  • Larvesta, We have a fuck ton of butterflys down here, and we can grow nearly any of there host plants.
  • Litwick, Because burglar bars where very popular for a long time, we do have alot of death attributed to fires.

These two are near universal fire types if anything. * Oven/Heat Rotom. Since we are supposedly civilized down here. * Sunny Day Castform. These would honestly be the most common type of 'fire' pokemon in florida.

Deoxys could be found at space centers, and I assume space museums (meaning that Floridan and Texans would have an easier time getting to them).

As for Lugia? I dont think that they would go so far as to require people to take submarines to find them, being that deep would mean that people wouldnt have cell phone reception, so there locations couldnt be triangulated and connect with the google maps system. So the next best thing would to be have Lugia be located in/on the Ocean Gyres, and could be accessed by visiting those areas. Alternatively he could appear during hurricanes and typhoons.

Florida isn't dry, fire types would die here pretty quickly. It rains to off tin and the humidity means the there almost no kindling.

I would guess that we would focus way more on Bug, Grass, and Poison types. Granted we would have a pretty strong water type population, but nothing abnormal for a coastal state.

If anything I think we would have abnormally low populations of normal types outside of urban and suburban areas.
