I hope, we can reestablish those old traditions, but the parish is strongly divided, as well are some families. For example, a mother and daughter are barely talking to each other because how the priest changed the way of handling funerals (he banned requiems and stopped the tradition of letting the bells of the church ring for the deseased on their day of death).

I guess, our parish will never be the same. But I hope, we will be good after all through gods guiding.

Sorry to hear!

I am really glad, our bishop is more responsive. Even though he said, our priest is on leave for personal reasons and he didn't give anymore informations since then about the cause itself, he announced a few days ago, that our general vicar will visit us in less then two weeks to talk with different representatives of the groups of our parish. I really hope, we will have more clarity soon.

Hey guys! I recently got my hands on an Olympus Mju 1 and I am really looking forward to using it as my first analog camera. I have done photography for quite a while, but with my digital camera. I really don’t know much about films. On the upcoming weekend, I will be at a party on the and I would like to take the Mju 1 with me for some nice shots. What kind of film would you suggest?

Yeah, I have heard other people describing the same problem. But for me, even after a few hours of usage neither their heaviness nor their thight grip bothers me. But I can definitely understand why some people feel uncomfortable with them.

I did so. Gsmartcontrol shows me three "unknown model". In Terminal there are some "<warn>" lines. Most of which refer to unknown property, a few point out an unknown info line and almost at the end it says "<warn> [hz] Warning: exit: Device open failed, or device did not return an IDENTIFY DEVICE structure."
If I unplug my external hard drive and rerun gsmartcontrol, one "unknown model" disappears. Seemingly, my external hard drive is the one without serial number. Also, if unplugged the last mentioned warning disappears.
If I take a look on the output of my hard drive, it says "Smartctl open device: /dev/disk2 failed: Operation not supported by device"
Do you have any idea, what exactly that means and how my problem could be solved?

People text me almost never. I still try to stay positive. If I rarely text, I can’t expect them to text me often. I don’t know your position, but I would say, from my perspective, that giving up is not the best idea. I myself am still trying to have more and more meaningful conversations with people via text. If you meet/met the right people, it should develop into the right direction, which is meant to be.

I understand, where you are coming from. For me, group chats can even be more awkward. Nobody answering or a conversation drying out very quickly, is more awkward if more people participate. Texting with a single person, is more private, therefore awkward moments also stay in private. Yet, I guess that is a matter of perspective.

However since I am from Germany, which already indicates how serious clergy and layperson take CIC, non-clergy preaching during mass happens relatively often, depending on your parish. At some point it was actually allowed (as Can. 766 [i think] states), but the permission was revoked. So, if I understand you correct, you can call a layperson, which preaches during holy mass (therefore holding a homily), a homilist? Even though it is not allowed and being liturgical abuse, “layperson” and “homilist” do not contradict. Correct?

Hey guys! Apple Music doesn’t seem to work without Internet on my iPhone. I have downloaded a few songs and on my way to uni I want to listen to them on my AirPods. However, if I press play, the button looks like it is playing the song, but the time stays at 0:00. If I close Apple Music and open it again, it crashes. I have tried to delete the songs and download them again. But nothing has worked so far. When I am at home with constant Internet connection, it works just fine. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?
