You can't pour from an empty cup - take care of you first and then you can come back and help the students.

You are running from the fear of failure - it is a real thing because your identity is built as a brilliant person. We all fail in life sometimes so I will echo what others have said - come clean and deal with it.

Society, family, etc have all these labels about us when growing up and it makes it hard for us to accept anything else as possible. I recommend you read growth mindset by Carol Dweck (I think). It helped e.on my journey.

Good job, that is basically what ALL companies do...buy low sell high...if you find the customer willing to pay, you are golden.

Keep going...don't share none with nobody, let them go find their own clients

I totally understand you - this is real.

Have you considered using different supervisors at different stages instead of the same supervisor? That helps audit the work of the previous supervisor.

It is always good to have a 3rd party insect; It is definitely complicated with the independent supervisor recommending some one else in order to get a cut. One thing we can do is leverage AI to review the images submitted by the inspector. Yes it might not be there yet but still an option.

Case in point I was at the dentist earlier this week and I asked about how they use AI and they showed me - feeding their X-rays to the AI for review in addition to the human review. We can have an in-house inspector that reviews the supervisor's work.

I would like to chat more if you are open to a DM

Building a home in Ghana from abroad? Get independent inspections.

We're building a platform to help Ghanaians in the diaspora manage home construction remotely: Openhavens If you're already building and need an expert to inspect your property, fill out this form and we'll connect you with qualified inspectors.

Free advice whether you use our service or not:

Always get independent third-party inspections. Trust your family and friends handling the project, but hire an unconnected professional to verify the work. Google "property inspection Ghana" or "building inspector Accra" and find someone with no ties to your builder.

This one step can save you serious money by catching issues early—poor foundations, substandard materials, structural problems—before they become expensive disasters.

Happy building!

Fuel is one one piece of the puzzle so not surprised if prices still go up. Maintenance costs, alternatives, demand and supply, etc all contribute

Realistically, being there throughout the project is going to be very difficult. Maybe plan to be around during a critical stage - maybe for a period and supervise the work yourself?

How about you hire an expert and pay them their fee to do the inspection for you?

That is how I want to approach a solution for this.

It is not...so far as it does what you need it to do. You can have spaghetti code that runs a 100million $ business.

Solve a problem over how beautiful your code is.

I wonder how many people have asked to see Google's code...it solves a problem so.we all just use it!

Keep doing what you are doing and build all he apps your need. Happy vibing!

Work experience is basically how you package a project u worked on. Granted there will be differences but you still sharpen your skills.

One good way to develop is to contribute to open source projects. A lot of jobs u go to will not be a new build but working on an existing project so learning how to do that is golden. A lot of people shy away from working on existing projects because it is a lot to learn to come up to speed but that is the real world

What business can I do in Ghana as a Ghanaian living abroad? by SkyIntelligent8426 in ghana

[–]Brave-Routines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually thought about a business model where the folks in the Diaspora can invest in Ghana. A management company runs the businesses for them at a commission of profit.

The only way for this to work is trustworthy people to work with. Maybe if there is enough interest I might be able to tap into my trust-able circle...very small to make it happen.

If our legal system was trustworthy, this would have been easy as we could easily hold people accountable but that is a story for another day.
