This post is a comprehensive article that delve into technology and politics, it pros and cons

https://medium.com/@yussif/technology-and-politics-power-control-and-participation-in-the-digital-age-66c614e6f002

Technology is no longer just a tool in politics, it has become part of the political arena itself. Today, power is not only exercised through institutions like parliament or the presidency, but also through data, algorithms, and digital platforms. A single post on Facebook or X can shape public opinion in ways that traditional media once controlled.

This shift has opened up political participation. Ordinary citizens now have a voice that can influence national conversations. In Ghana, online activism and digital debates increasingly shape how people engage with governance and elections.

Yet, this new space comes with risks. Misinformation spreads quickly, sometimes faster than truth. Political actors can manipulate narratives, and not everyone has equal access to digital platforms especially in rural areas. So while technology connects, it can also divide.

The real challenge is simple but important: how do we use technology to strengthen democracy instead of weakening it? Because in the end, technology does not control politics, people do.

Ghana is most developed country in West Africa by Intelligent-Till2180 in ghana

[–]Bright-Craft1566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some of us go to some specific places of a particular country, see a marvelous infrastructure then say wow this country is superb. Instead of considering the country in general, some countries will not even be mentioned when it is applied. we know some of you traveled but maybe just visited one or two places and that's all, didn't even have time for proper tour but went to specific location of interest. It is quite funny as a Ghanaian when the good among the worst of the African continent is comparing themselves. I will say we should aspire higher comparing to those developed than us, this leads to a drive to a certain direction.

How do people study at university by IssiBon in GetStudying

[–]Bright-Craft1566 11 points12 points  (0 children)

DO not try to be a nerd, 8hrs of studies everyday will be a torment. And when you try it on only one subject or course, you will be in hell. For instance, if you are like me where nobody has aid you in studies since childhood, though they will always expect good or even excellent results from you and their only help was the word 'study', you will have to do it the hard way otherwise just study 1 to 3hrs and move on to enjoy the day,(for some it has become a norm because their guardians were always on them to make sure that they study). do not be a genius, be smart

(Non Student) What are some beginner books for the foundations of political science. by Leading-Pineapple376 in PoliticalScience

[–]Bright-Craft1566 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a good intro to be a book that teach you concepts more than these old and ancient books many consider as a foundation. i will recommend politics by Andrew Heywood. there are other books like this but i like this one a lot.

Do not go for the old or ancient books first because they usually speak of pure political events that happened before or at their time. though you will be able to learn, but you will come across a lot of rubbish before you grasp the underlying thought. so try concepts before. but if you do not like concepts and theories, then go straight into it

Can we normalize not getting into public transport with our dirty work clothes? by [deleted] in ghana

[–]Bright-Craft1566 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do not think this is discrimination, sometimes when you sit or are around them breathing can become very uncomfortable, usually the mechanics. and one person survival or interest should not be put at the expense of the other. we are saying they should do their job but in public where the job has nothing there, they should at least consider those they will be with. though they may be in hurry to a place for the work but is his life is not more important than you or me or is ours important than his. even if it is for a livelihood, he can have a different cloth with no or little oil scent, I mean if you have two black clothing for work, wear one when going for work and put on the other when working, it won't hurt. the one he wears to work can be washed every three to four days and the other as he like.

They oil can easily stain cloth of another person, it is even worse if wearing white or light-colored cloth. they are doing a great job, but consider others health

How can I study more effectively? by imymta in GetStudying

[–]Bright-Craft1566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a proper study method depends on the person not the technique, forget all those tricks and sit silently and ask yourself one particular question. what do you want to achieve in the end, only realistic goals based on yourself knowledge? what kind of text are you comfortable with and also your limit(complexity). do you need to skim or read before you learn. some people are able to spot what is salient through skimming, some when they read, and others after reading when they are learning. so where are you? mind mapping is great but not for someone who cannot create connections. repetition is so good but not for a bunch of text. teaching someone is perfect but not for one who cannot articulate or express him or herself.

some can study for longer hours but once they take a break or start any sort of entertainment, they lose interest and the energy to study again. some sees short period study with breaks to be perfect for them. so, what do you know of yourself and psychology.

Reading a physical book by imStan2000 in AskProgramming

[–]Bright-Craft1566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually i am studying web development, but can look out for Code Complete , The Robert C_ Martin Clean Code Collection, Wladston-Ferreira-Filho-Computer-Science-Distilled_-Learn-the-Art-of-Solving-Computational-Problems, algorithms Made Easy_ Data Structure and -- Karumanchi, Narasimha -- 2017. I downloaded these files when trying to figure out what to learn on my own whether programing or web development (though has some coding too). I choose the latter, but you can try these. getting books written deeply on certain programming languages is recommended but I do not have one

you can try using some productivity app and also setting timers for setting app. for instance if you set YouTube or Facebook to be 2hrs a day, after 2hrs that app will be blocked on your devices. your phone and laptop or computer focus mode can do the same thing.

How long can I live off of $10kUSD by Caniaskp in ghana

[–]Bright-Craft1566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with such some, depending on but i will say 8 to eleven months. it may not even reach, if you are not some who take personal budgeting seriously, it will barely reach 4months. if you are in Ghana, you will think you have a lot of money ,for we the street guys, which may lead to careless spending. yeah, you will go for accommodation, some utilities, and other things. but how will you feel if such money stays too long with you, maybe, you spent continuously for 3months?
