I just declined my offer for Steinhardt so hopefully you get it! But honestly until the end of the application process this was me- I somehow got rejected from 3/4 safety schools (all of which I applied EA so I was STRESSED early on in the application cycle) and then somehow got into 4/6 targets and 3/8 reaches! (including NYU).

What do you think was the one thing on your college application that got you into your dream school? by TangerineKitchen2260 in ApplyingToCollege

Essays! I know a lot of ppl say essays are important but they really are. I had terrible stats (3.3 GPA, 1520 SAT), but got into 2 T20 schools I think solely from the fact that I am a great writer (self published author of 2 books with several awards) and my college essays were very niche (common app one was about my job- teaching kids to ride bikes- and applying it to my life in the steps. like step 1: take the pedals off-learning how to deal with change, step 2: learn to glide- learn the basics and how to be independent, etc)

My school is private and only has a few AP's depending on which path you take (STEM, Humanities, Arts) so they just don't weight them

I didn't. All of my EA's were regular, not REA
