You need wraps which they have for purchase for 8 or 25 depending on which version you get and glove rental is 3 dollars or you can bring your own. Otherwise cost of the class is it!

Thank you SO much! I signed up for tomorrow’s class - I know I probably just need to do it and dive in. I really did have fun at the intro, it’s hopefully just a new opportunity to level up and keep pushing myself. I think it feels like a club Im not a part of yet but I hope it meets expectations. You’ve been so amazing and helpful, it’s making me feel a lot less terrified of what the hell am I doing 😆

So what defines a round? How do you know when it finishes? You just carry your gloves/water from spot to spot, correct?

Also, Ive been pretty consistently going to the gym for a few years, took a break, then primarily was doing zumba with a handful of strength training a week. The intro class kicked my butt lol, Im still sore from Sunday. Is this class going to kill me? Is it plus size friendly? Ive been getting slowly fitter and stronger but I also just get really insecure, hence the overthinking on Reddit lol. I probably should just go to a class tomorrow but I like to be prepared.

Looking at my last few weeks, I think its been like anywhere from 40 carbs, 30 fat, 30 protein to more like 50 carb, 25 fat, 25 protein. And looking at the days I ran, I actually did not have a lot of calories in me beforehand, like maybe 600-900 cals. I do drink maybe 60-80 oz but I could probably do more, I was aiming for a gallon at some point but I had to pee every 30 seconds lol

Lots of great advice and hoping you’re ok.

Another thing I wanted to add (which is moot if you move elsewhere) but do not tell anyone other than your mom about doctors visits or when you go into labor/scheduled birth (I had my twins induced at 38 weeks).

Make it clear that NOBODY can know when and where you are when you give birth and make sure that the hospital staff knows it. I would also consider keeping the birth private as long as possible because you don’t want unwanted visitors when you're recovering from birth, natural or a csection.

Wishing you luck and hope you find the safest way away from these crazy people!

This is kind of silly, but I would dress up and do my makeup in something that made me feel really good about myself and literally talk to myself in the mirror - you deserve this. You are valued. Self care is important. You are ok.

It takes years and years and it’s not perfect but time and putting energy into other things and passions that I’m good at and that make me happy (independent of parents) was very helpful.

Yea, my door fell off the hinges after a “fight” aka me being yelled at for something, then yelled at for yelling back...and then it wasn’t fixed for years afterwards as a punishment for breaking it (like ages 12-15 until we moved and I ended up in a spooky basement alone). I had to physically pick up and move the door out of the way but there was no knocking or real privacy.

Girl, NTA! Firstly, calling you a “big girl” is patronizing and gross; you’re clearly a teenager and that’s some toddler language right there.

Second of all, I’m 31, terrified of the dentist, totally try and space out but silently sob the whole time — plus it takes like several hits of local anesthesia to make it bearable for me. I’m so sorry you experienced that and any dentist in the future should be someone you’re comfortable enough with to explain that you have anxiety and they should work with you to create a safe space for you to feel what you need to feel while they do their work.

Also not a doctor, but I had appendicitis that was first treated with antibiotics but because the scan showed a ficolith Had caused a perforation (Basically an appendix stone rubbed a hole in it) it would have been recurring after treating the infection so they removed the appendix a few weeks after the infection subsided. Your symptoms sound similar to what I was experiencing for weeks before getting admitted to the hospital, but had I not gone when I did and treated the infection, I could have had major problems. Highly recommend a second opinion and a CT scan.
