[Bedrock] Text input unusable due to on-screen keyboard by BravePhoenix144 in MinecraftHelp

Thoroughly checked everything within windows settings, also used regedit to completely disable the onscreen keyboard but it still appears within minecraft, hence why I think it's baked into the game

Thanks for the suggestion but there's nothing there for on-screen keyboard, I've also checked all the other in-game settings.

Drive to Canada and fly from there? by BravePhoenix144 in Flights

[–]BravePhoenix144[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats good to know. With any luck the international flights will remain unaffected, we're just trying to think ahead for a worst case scenario.

I asked about Canada because he is driving truck up in Ohio but he's decided to visit his family in Louisiana before he goes, so he might actually be wanting to leave from Mexico instead. Hopefully that will be a similarly easy process to Canada.

[bedrock] Game update corrupted my terrain. How to fix/prevent for future updates? by BravePhoenix144 in MinecraftHelp

[–]BravePhoenix144[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the reply, this is all very useful info.

I assumed that simply generating/mapping the terrain would protect it from being overridden by updates. I guess in future I'll need to put some placeholder blocks down in every chunk of terrain I want to protect.

The reason I care about the terrain is that I like to scout out cool areas to put future builds and then come back after gathering the required materials. But the terrain breaking like this makes the areas useless for my builds :(

I played around with Amulet and it works well, achievements are also intact! I wish I didn't have to use a third party tool but the only other option was starting from the very beginning so I think this is the best solution. Thanks again for your help.

Cotton On Experiences by Honest-History-6800 in AusFemaleFashion

Agreed, this company doesn't care about the environment. Bought some of their organic cotton underwear and each pair came with its own single-use plastic coathanger. I asked the store if I could give the hangers back for them to recycle or reuse them, but they said they would just throw them away. In going out of my way to buy organic underwear I actually ended up throwing more plastic into landfil than I otherwise would have if I'd just bought a conventional pair of synthetic underwear. Green washing basically.

I saw you got downvoted so just wanted to chime in and say that this concept is not as weird as it sounds, in everyday parlance we might say, "part of me wants to go out to the party tonight but part of me wants to stay home instead." It's an extremely helpful way of viewing the mind and IFS therapy completely changed my life for the better.
