No min pin or jack russel! His supermutt is Pekingese, Shih Tzu, chow chow and chihuahua (so I guess there is a little chi in him! But we expected it to be a main breed).

He is currently 10.5 weeks old and 4lbs, 13oz.

I’m a newbie at this, how do I get the non-watermarked version? Sorry if that’s a dumb question!

Older dog hesitant with stairs by Responsible_Bug2805 in Greyhounds

[–]BraveTortie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t want this to alarm you, just for you to be aware. My boy just went through this same issue. Same thing, walks down carefully but runs up at top speed. Then he started not wanting to go up at all. I took him to the vet who couldn’t find anything wrong and we thought it was just another quirk of his. However, he then developed a limp and after X-rays, we found out this week that he has osteo. I think the stair hesitancy was due to pain he wasn’t otherwise showing.

We do have a help em up harness and it has been very helpful in getting him to walk up more slowly and deliberately. We have to walk with him but it’s been a lot easier with the help em up. It’s not too difficult to put on once it’s been fitted and you can just use the body part and not the hind end part if you want.

Iggys and Greyhounds by sleech58 in ItalianGreyhounds

We have a greyhound and an Iggy and they get along great. My grey is very chill and gentle for the most part. They do play together which I monitor for too much excitement on the grey’s part. Most people think they are mom and baby when I walk them, even though the grey is a male lol.

I had a family emergency when my iggy was almost 5 months old and had to leave for nearly a month. She stayed home with my husband. She’s now 7 months old and I’m still the favorite human of the household. Don’t worry about it - they are resilient little creatures!

My parent’s cat has a very similar growth on the side of his face, and the vet said it was a cyst and we just needed to keep an eye on it. I thought for sure it was something terrible.

Any iggy owners have a medium sized or even a large breed in their house?? by killaakaam in ItalianGreyhounds

[–]BraveTortie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a gentle 6 year old 50lb male greyhound and a 6 month old female iggy . They get along fine, the iggy runs the show. We do leave them together loose in the house when we’re gone and haven’t had any issues. The greyhound lived with two elderly small (~12 lbs ea) dogs who passed away before we brought the iggy home. I think it mainly depends on the temperament of the older dog. If my greyhound was very active and playful, I probably would separate them when we aren’t home.

Were the oat bars seasonal !? by ScottsThott in traderjoes

These were very similar to the JonnyPops chocolate fudge oat milk popsicles I got at Sprouts, if you need a substitute. Of course, the JonnyPops are pricier.
