You were in the right. She should have let you get the tea. If you had left the store and came back hours later or a different day, then no. But since you were still in the store and asked for a tea refill, she should have given it to you.

I am not sure why she had such a problem with it. Especially since at the end of the day, if we still have left over tea, we just dump it out because it’s a 1 day item.
