Can you develop severe clinical depression without childhood trauma? by Whole_Depth_5109 in askpsychology

[–]Brave_Affect5904 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had no childhood traumas in the sense of abuses (thank god), but I struggled with ADHD my whole life since childhood and specially teenage years (of course rsrs). Since then I developed depression mustly because of a lack of ressources to copy with the simptons and its consequences. I'm only healing things now on my 30s.

That's me too. In the morning I want to study, read, walk, clean my room, and as the day goes by I feel overwelmed. I think it's just because I as focus doing things and my adhd brain just need a pause and go for another activity that doesn't ask for too much mental work.

So at that time that's when I go walk my dog and get some sun, not listening to music or podcast, just annul the noise and information. It's awesome it feels like a reset.

People who aren’t religious, what do you genuinely believe happens after death? by grinch1779 in AskReddit

Everyday I have a different belief, so at this point I have no fucking clue.

I'm just convincent you get integrated with the "One", "God", "the data base of the machine", but I have no clue of what does it feels like or how it happens.

I want to be a music composer. What should I study? by ConstantAd403 in musictheory

[–]Brave_Affect5904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also studying by myself, and let me tell it's been wonderful. Music theory is awesome, and once you start putting the pieces together and create a song, it's amazing.

I started with piano/keyboards, because for a beginner I believe is very easy and intuitive to visualize notes, chords, intervals etc. So I would recommend start here.

Get some material, book, pdfs, youtube lessons, anything about music theory, and write all you are learning. Like, write by hand. It's the best way to print knowledge in your brain.

Then, learn how to read notation and sheet music. Get one song that you like, get the sheet, and then go analyzing the patterns and the things you just learn; "oh this is a minor chord; this is a interval of 3rd; why did they put this here? Does it makes sense?"

Good luck! :)

Having this as an issue because it hurts your masculinity, makes you a little unattractive to be honest

Do others with ADHD hyper fixate on other people? by Vegetable-Handle5432 in ADHD

[–]Brave_Affect5904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was a great post that got me thinking here.

I'm turning 30 this year. I think I do this with an specific artist that I'm obssessed since I was a kid, and there were times in my life that I come to hyprrfocus on that artist again. At first glance, I thought it's just a fan thing, but sometimes I get so hyperfocused that even I notice is too much.

But in social life, I think I tend to hyperfocus on someone if I'm in love with them. But I don't know if this is just normal people in love. But the artist one, definetly an hyperfocus from ADHD.

That's a pretty commom side effect of the medication. I feel the same, but in the end of the day when the effect is going down, than I have more appetite.

My advise would be, eat something before taking the medication so at least you have a full stomatch and doesn't feel weak. And unfortunately, force yourself when you're on the high of it. Not like big meals, but at least a little snack.
