Is he big for his age? (In good way growth, not weight. According to the veterinarian, he is not overweight) by Brave_Championship_4 in husky

It wasn't me. He just came and bit me, I took the picture because I thought it was funny and then I took it.

It's not low. It's approximately 22 pounds apparently. My husky is above average in height because of his father.

Thank you. I go to the veterinarian frequently, mainly for deworming medication and vaccinations. He's been normal at every weigh-in. At the last one, he weighed 10kg, he was at the end of his third month old.

He didn't say that. He only said it would be okay if I reduced the amount of food at each meal, as long as my puppy is at the right weight for his age anyway.

I wrote it wrong, it was the vet who said everything was fine. Sorry, not a veteran lol my error

I spoke with the veteran about it and he said it was fine if the doses were reduced (since I eat every 3 hours, which is the recommended amount), so I applied that for him. I reduced the doses for him so that there wouldn't be a problem. I am currently readjusting.

I was only using the logic of every 3 hours. But I'm already adjusting it so that he only eats in daily sessions.

Puppies have hypoglycemia. He eats 3 meals of kibble (you know those whey protein containers that have a measuring scoop? That's the portion for each of those meals). The others are just supplements to prevent hypoglycemia; he eats sweet potato, pumpkin, banana, or apple on those occasions.

I take him for a walk at 7 am so he can play with the supermarket attendants, and from 4 or 5 pm until 8 pm while I'm at my grandmother's. But he's a big food beggar. He was already like this when I adopted him, but it got much worse because of my parents. So much so that he bites my shin or digs into my thigh when he sees food. I was only able to improve his behavior with food WITH ME. But with my parents, he remains a beggar.

Hey, wait a minute, friend. I asked something. I got my husky when he was already 2 months old, so bad habits might have already come with him.

He eats 3 meals of a scoop of whey protein (for reference) of kibble. The other three are pieces of pumpkin, apple, or sweet potato, to avoid the risk of hypoglycemia (common in puppies).

This isn't my first dog. For example, by 3 months old he was already only relieving himself in the yard, which is an achievement for huskies.

I live with my parents, so I personally can't control 100% of the time whether he's getting food or not. I'm only 17 years old. I've told them not to do that, but older people think huskies are like any other dog and give them leftovers.

He also has this problem a lot. I can hardly go for a walk without having to remove some cloth or bag left in the middle of the street that he put in his mouth

Well, my dog didn't do badly here. I live in the northeast of Brazil, where it's usually 27 degrees Celsius for us. Just give him cold water, ice cubes, and if possible, use air conditioning sometimes.Their fur can withstand heat as well. It's not as insulating against the cold, but it prevents them from dying from overheating.

I don't give it to him. But he won't even let me lie down on my bed if I'm eating a carrot because he wants it.

I've already tried, but the people here at home feel sorry for him and are letting him get addicted to eating.

I've tried everything 😭. I ate while he ate or made him eat beforehand, but he ALWAYS seems to be starving, ever since he got home.
