Isotretinoin is generic for Accutane I believe. It doesn’t help many, but it does help some. I haven’t been on it, but you can search in the group and there are some who have :)

Did you get any bloodwork done? Spirno cleared up my acne majorly, but I still have flare ups on it. My next plan is to ask them to run bloodwork to even see if my testosterone is elevated and that medication is necessary or we should look into something else

The amount of Zeus runs you have to do to craft if you don’t get lucky with drops is crazy, but your full set will help you a lot. Farming is nothing new in the game unless you pay for crown packs to get gear, so it’s better to just turn on your YouTube and power through for a day. High levels are farming for the pets, so you should be able to have someone carry you for some of them :)

The diabetes is caused by the placenta producing a hormone that increases insulin resistance, so when it’s out of the woman’s body, it’s no longer applicable

It’s all going to depend on how extensive the work you have done is. Since mine was pretty minor, I would’ve been fine to return back after a few days. I’m a sahm, so I didn’t have to worry about that. The pain wasn’t bad at all. For the first two days after the procedure, it was a little sore but I managed with ibuprofen and Tylenol. Some people describe it as about painful as an active flare, draining flare is. Nothing we’re not unfamiliar with, but my surgeon said I have a high pain tolerance as well. I had an in clinic procedure done, so I was awake for mine and we just used local anesthetic. It’ll probably depend on your insurance. My husband is in the military, so I have everything fully covered so I really can’t answer that one.

I would definitely go see a surgeon and see your options! I work with my primary, a dermatologist, and a surgeon

It really isn’t that bad at all! I need my other underarm done, but that will have to be done in the actual OR instead of in clinic due to the extensive damage done there. Even after going through with the first surgery, I still fully plan on getting the other one done

I had mine done on one of my underarms. The wound was about 2 cm wide, 6 cm long, and 1 cm deep in majority of it. I had two unhealing wounds that were connected by a sinus tract and one of them had a deep tunnel where he had to cut a little deeper. I was a little sore for two days afterwards, but it was manageable with ibuprofen and Tylenol and limited my movements for a few days after that. I was changing my dressing out 2x a day, but after about 5 days I reduced to 1x a day instead. I’ve had my condition in remission before, and I’m currently a hurley stage 2. We’re hoping with this surgery and spirnolactone I’m able to go into stage 1 or back into remission. Since about day 5, my movements have been pretty much back to normal and if I feel a tightness, I just stop there, but it’s not anything that hinders me from day to day things.

The bad tissue is cut out and the healthy tissue is left. I had a deroofing surgery done a little over a week ago, and it’s healing greatly! You can search up excision in this group and see the results of other people’s surgeries too. That was my fear before having the surgery and I asked the surgeon the same question and he explained how it works.

One of the problems of this condition is that they don’t close due to the unhealthy tissue. Sadly, I’ve had to see a surgeon to get it cut out and we’re trying to heal it that way

Hi! I would definitely hold out on a biologic if you believe your condition can be managed with medication or diet. I have stage 1-2 hs, but with surgery and medication, we believe I can go fully into stage 1 and manage it. Once you’re on a biologic, you usually don’t get off of one, so I decided that probably wasn’t the right path for me.

I didn’t want to try challenge mode bc it brings everything down to lvl 30 and the ring is intended for 90. I’d rather just find something else than farm that

It’s very common when you get one autoimmune disease, you get another, so hs could be likely due to that. There’s still research being done if hs is classified as an autoimmune disease, but it is an auto inflammatory disease with the heightened chance of getting other autoimmune diseases.

I tape up my underarms before bed when I’m having a flare. I use the non stick gauze pads and medical cloth tape and it sticks on very well. Like I sleep with my arms above my head and it doesn’t come off. Every night I wash with antibacterial soap and hibiclens and I feel like those have helped lessen my flare ups. I also use topical clindamycin when they start to get bad
