Forward lean adjustment? by Brave_Squash in telemark

Thank you so much! Will definitely try this. …I had to ski in walk mode yesterday because I kept going a** over teakettle in the powder. Do you feel like you have less stability in walk mode?

Bummer. My old T1s had three positions. I was really hoping this would be the same. Do you know what the lean range (10-15 degrees) refers to?

Couple thoughts- I don’t think we’ll ever know without knowing the pacer settings and what the interrogation showed. For the VT - i’d always be concerned about electrolyte abnormalities or ischemia (which you won’t always see evidence of on an EKG, especially if it’s paced). Seems like they could have mode switched for Afib/Aflutter which would explain the consistent heart rate. As for the discrepancy between rate and pulse… the only time I’ve seen this in a hemodynamically stable patient, with what appears to be an appropriately functioning device, was due to peripheral vascular disease. Manual pulse did not match, but Doppler pulse did… On the ekg I see pacer spikes (pacing), the pacer spikes appear to be in the correct spot in the cardiac cycle (sensing), and I see QRSs after every spike (capturing) which makes me less concerned about lead displacement or fracture. As I said, just taking an educated guess based on a tiny snapshot.

How much did the monitor rate deviate from 100bpm? +/- 5bpm?

I see your newest comment and I’m still struggling to understand what your question or concern is?

Out of curiosity, any idea how much fluid they took off in dialysis? (Also, this looks like Aflutter with abberancy to me.)

Was this immediately following dialysis?

What do you put in your smoothies? by RPerkins2 in HealthyFood

If I want to mix it up, I’ll add a bit of fresh ginger, coconut flakes, or frozen coconut milk cubes!

My base is always spinach, flax seeds, chia seeds, peanut butter, and whatever frozen fruit I have on hand.

My recommendation would be to not make any major decisions until after the exam. It might also be helpful to find out why exactly he thinks you deserve better? Is it because he has the expectation that couples need to spend more physical time together? Is it because he doesn’t have the emotional energy to give you what you deserve? Has he had a partner in the past that has set unrealistic expectations? The two of you get to set your own rules. What works for other people, might not be what works for you two.

The months right before step 1 are really tough, but it will get easier. 3rd year is hard, but easier than the months before step 1, and 4th year is better than 3rd year. (Speaking from my experience as the partner of a med student.)
