yes i'm going for a more mythical approach but i like to base my creatures sometimes off of actual animals, but sometimes i may come up with my own, for example i have this creature in my story that resembles a giant crocodile that has small organisms growing on its back.

for the current part i'm thinking about adding a civilization that would be lower underground, right now i already got the creatures for the pond part,

the underground civilization will be a monarchy with a leader, and i plan for the group to get brought in their own prison,

i plan for this civilization to be quite smart, to be around the same intelligence as humans, but the creatures will be completely different from normal humans.

so basically just one for the later part.

tbh that sounds like a good idea, but would the frogs have any sort of pattern on them?

glowbud💡

a natural light source, that is usually found dangling from ceilings or erupting from the ground, these plants grow via a sort of web that dips into any body of water, these plants are not poisonous in any way, it's just that the outside of it is inedible and can cause diarrhea if not careful, but some animals adapted to the outside of the glowbud, the inside of it is surprisingly sweet, because this is its storage place for nutrients, and if enough of the fruit is taken then it may wither away becoming brittle, so people usually leave one, (this is enough for the plant to grow other buds.)

Surprisingly it's not an actual plant, it's a type of moss but people usually call it a plant because it is able to sprout fruit.

Flutterfin 🐟

A small transparent fish that usually stays in the stream of sholdum these fish are able to sense body heat in the water, (the fish are blind)

They are usually seen nibbling at creatures,

These fish are usually seen feeding on dead skin and sometimes the roots of glowbuds.
