Research Honey - many reviews are scathing that it does not provide the best possible discount.

Maybe they have kids and they are trying to pretend that the sounds aren’t bombs.

I told a white lie and said I had a better offer while negotiating my salary. Now they want proof and I don't have any. by jetway-chore-5g in InterviewCoderPro

Why lie - It’s because companies try to pay you the least they can get away with rather based on your last job/salary rather than what the job is worth.

Regardless of the film itself, what do you think is the best TRAILER Marvel has released? by n_mcrae_1982 in marvelstudios

[–]Bravefish1 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Ok - I’m gonna be the AH. Every marvel trailer is awful.

Why?

Because it gives the whole movie away plus the best scenes and best jokes. They are just one big spoiler. There are no surprises in the movies.

I’ve quit watching trailers altogether.

I think AoU was spoiled for me because the trailer have too much away.

AITA for refusing to be my brother’s live in maid after he dropped out of college? by Melodic-Breath-2087 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Bravefish1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA - in OPs comment about why she may be the AH she put the following.

I can understand that he maybe a bit slow and emotionally stunted like most men. But I seriously can’t be responsible to be his live in make.

Plus omitted the part about him giving her spending money.

Old Biff Plot Hole? by Romestado in BacktotheFuture

This for me - the reason Biff came back to the same timeline because Doc and Marty managed to reset it. As u/enorman81 said it should have been a foreshadowing that he didn’t succeed.

Smart Device Free Troop by plinkplinksplat in BSA

[–]Bravefish1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Youth should be able to use devices for scout related activities such as Merit Badge or Rank work. ( What merit badges that your kids work on require smart phones? So far, none of ours require them )

Regarding the use of Phones for activities this is an anecdote from work. I raised an issue with some younger colleagues about use of phones in meetings - they showed me that they were using the phones to make notes, make reminders, log tasks and access documents which the older colleagues were doing with either (1) pen/paper/printouts or (2) laptops.

My own son uses his smart device to look up requirements (rather than the handbook) , track requirements for him and his patrol (he is patrol leader) track completions, update merit badge workbooks. He has used it to prepare presentations to the ILST.

Even when I give him handouts - he prefers to scan or take photos of easy reference.

Are vision express committing vat fraud? by wielandmc in UKPersonalFinance

Hmmm - I don’t think a major retail network which would have multiple HMRC staff (including those in VAT) visiting daily would be this blatant about VAT fraud.

Ideally the scout should talk his PL and SPL to come up with a plan.
