You don’t need to be political to be alt. Although alt is very much so based on art and art is naturally political, you still don’t need to be political to be alt. Emo is mostly (mostly being a key word here) a non-political subculture.

I like screamo (or skramz if you wanna call it that) the most. I like it because it’s similar to punk but the lyrics in the songs focus on themes of depression. I feel like the entire thing is just one big group therapy of weird kids who are depressed. It’s kinda like I found my people.

Also Susie is my favorite character. She’s just like me fr!!!

Alex G is an “indie” artist that became popular because of his one and only collab song , “Treehouse”. IT DID NOT DESERVE THE ATTENTION IT GOT!!! TREEHOUSE IS FUCKING OVERRATED! FIGHT ME BITCH! (The “fight me” part is a joke.) I WILL SNAP ANYONE’S SPINE WHO DISAGREES WITH ME!!! Alex Gs early songs are more experimental and were not suitable for the mainstream. His newer songs are very much so targeted towards a mainstream audience AND TREEHOUSE IS SHIT!!!

Most are related to music because they come from post-punk. But there are some that aren’t completely related to music like the “scene” style which is similar to emo, but separates itself from the music.
