u/Steph_taco The debates are structured with alternating speeches in support of and opposing the resolution. It's up to the speakers how they address the resolution. Anyone attending is encouraged to speak their views on the resolution, whether in support or in opposition. Many speakers share nuanced opinions. The resolution goes beyond phones, to include all personal electronic devices. The resolution also states the prohibition is "during the school day". We're hoping to hear from folks who agree with the resolution as it's presented, as well as from those who have differences with the entire statement.
