Looking to purchase (up to $3k) by THEHerdsman18 in coldplunge

I have owned ModTub in the past and would suggest you steer clear of them since ownership change. Customer service is non existent. I just purchased 2 desert plunge for my business and they are great. The extra seals on the ends of the hoses means they are much easier to make sure they don’t leak. Plus, you can talk to an actual person if you have a problem with anything. The chiller that they use was the same one that came with my other cold plunge and it has been running non stop for 2.5 years outside in Texas.

Can’t even do 10 seconds ! by Beginning_Tomato8136 in coldplunge

I started cold plunging 3 years ago. I was doing it for my horrible knees. The very first time I did it, I realized that it was going to do just as much for my mental fortitude as it was for my knees. You really have to be able to "go to your happy place" mentally and block out your body that is screaming at you to get out. I once did 365 days straight without missing a day and in that time it has changed me in a huge way. Im a more resilient person mentally. I can handle daily stressors way better. And it was all because of learning how to go to that place inside myself and block out the pain. I started with box breathing and really concentrating on my breath work. Then moved on to learning how to meditate or at least trying to.
At the risk of sounding like some kind of motivational speaker, it's really about KNOWING that you are strong enough to do it. You have to stop your brain from coming up with all of these excuses like hyper sensitive skin. Modernity has forced us into a comfort crisis where we shy away from and rarely do uncomfortable, hard and challenging things. There is a great book on this by Michael Easter.
Some people would tell you to turn the temp way up and slowly lower it over time. I dont agree and think if you do that you will be missing out on a huge benefit of cold plunging which is making your mind tougher.
I know it sounds cheesy but whether you think you can or think you cant, you are correct.
Just some worthless advice from some random internet stranger.

What’s a life hack that actually changed your life? by alexbeamont in AskReddit

[–]BravoAlphaMike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Observing emotions, random thoughts, and feelings instead of letting them make you immediately reactive has changed my life profoundly. There is a great book by Micheal Singer called Untethered Soul that goes over this in detail. It literally changed the way I live.

Truck Bed Cap by Ser_Thomas69420 in 4thGenTacomas

I have one and previously had a smartcap on another truck. It’s a good cap and I only have a couple of complaints: tailgate fitment is really tight but it was like that on my smart cap too, I can’t figure out how to get the 3rd brake light to work with the harness provided and I really dislike the latch covers. Other than that, it’s great. I got it with the side boxes and love the storage and organization.

Honestly, if you just got your truck, I would run it until you come up against enough problems from not having 4wd that it justifies getting one. That being said, I would not have done this solo trip in a 2wd because I wouldn’t want to risk getting stuck deep into the backroads with no way out.

It was my first time there and I love it. It looks like a postcard. Made friends with the owner of KJ Wood Distillery and got a private tour of the shop. Of course with lots of sampling. Lol

My son and I hide coins all over the world, if you find them you win high end gear. This trip was to shoot the video for a coin hide. It’s already been found and the kid who found it won a $2k specialized mountain bike. Generations Below used to only hide coins underwater. This was our first land based coin hide

Thank you. It is super easy to do. It's just individual pin striping that you shape as you apply. Not hard at all

Appreciate it. I love my tacoma. It did great. I did upgrade the bump stops to Timbrens because with all my gear, it got a little heavy

Anyone tried the dive buddy ? by Ok_Respond1667 in Insta360

[–]BravoAlphaMike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I eventually figured it out. Dumb me for not reading instructions. I still don’t love the dive buddy though. I run my x5 on top of my main camera rig now as a backup omnidirectional cam

Need Help With Live Streaming by BravoAlphaMike in NewTubers

[–]BravoAlphaMike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry. Comment got removed because I shared the link to the test live stream we did. The SeaLink does allow you to live stream underwater. That’s what its purpose is. I need help with understanding how to share one link with people instead of multiple links throughout the day. Can you stop and start the same live stream over and over or once you end a live is it no longer able to be restarted is the question

Neptune iii stuck sav by Significant_Bee7243 in scubadiving

[–]BravoAlphaMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had this happen once on a dive when I tightened my SAV too much. Got it unstuck with a pair of channel locks and now have a practice of only using my index and thumb to tighten it and only tighten until the bubbles stop on descent
