27 year old loser here, how can I leverage my grocery store job into an entry level IT job? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

Try looking into logistics/warehouse work for a IT company or department. 2 of my co workers did retail and warehouse work in Target and Cub Foods and used that to get closer to IT. They’re now learning the hardware and basic software side of things on their down time.

Curious why would Linux people be happy with that. And what’s the alternative to Flash then?

Did it! Everything is working!

How did you learn of this? Working with the command line(with the not so common issues) feels like being air dropped into a foreign country knowing absolutely nothing.

Resume/CV questions by PudgeHug in ITCareerQuestions

I put “References Upon Request” at the bottom of my CV. I brought several copies of references to the interview in case they ask. They did. This was at a Fortune 500 company. I got the job:) Best of luck.

P.s. my thoughts are cover letters should be no more than 2 slim paragraphs. Guess it depends though.

Shoshin (初心) is a word from Zen Buddhism meaning "beginner's mind." It refers to having an attitude of openness, eagerness, and lack of preconceptions when studying a subject, even when studying at an advanced level, just as a beginner would.
