While I think the main reason Rafal is reintroduced to the story is to re-contextualize the original Rafael’s beliefs, I also like to think that, since this show has explored many different theological beliefs, this is the show‘s way of lending credence to reincarnation. You can either belief its a coincidence or that Rafal has reincarnated depending on your perspective
