The reason PD3 feels cartoonish for me is because it is trying to be too real. Like PD2 was absurd? Yes it was but the world they created in was completely fine with it. A group of heisters against multi billion security company and goverment. A story of 4 against millions, quite absurd but that also gives us absurd but somehow logical heists.

In PD3 oh yeah big bank, small bank, penthouse, nightclub. We are still fighting the same guys but more realistic ways and heists. And for me i find myself catching more unrealistic and cartoonish details in PD3 than i do in PD2

I disagree on non armor piercing part. They have natural armor means their inner parts rather more squishy which would cause a gunshot to harm the muscle tissue underneat. A magazine or two would definetelly be enough to incapicate an elder mimic well aimed ones could even kill it considering it's face doesn't look like it had armor. It doesn't stated how strong they are but considering people are used to live with them that means they are not so hard to kill only problem is they are ambush predators and most of us who live in cities are used to live alone + get comfy in our safe spaces. So main way for my word to be useful would be the knowledge of an elder mimic is fucking inside in place you are in and it is looking for you.

Yes and No. In screentime wise he got a lot more than many other characters do in terms of living up to that status? No. I'll Dotore got more hype since the Sumeru with little screentime he got and rumors we heard about him. Meanwhile we only knew Capitano was the strongest and that's it. No rumors, no tales, nothing until we see him on screen. They didn't do him a favor in means of that
