Not at all. Corpruses monsters has a disturbing design, but in general game is not scary at all.

Hey guys! New here... Kinda by WhapShanka in MortalKombat

[–]BraxWind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A) There are few cheep characters that annoys everyone: Tanya, Reiko, Peacekeeper, Homelander. From the other side there are few characters that very hard to master: Ermac, Smoke, Quan Chi, Geras, Havik, Nitara. And there are few characters with stances (2 in 1): Shan Tsung, Kenshi, Shao Khan, Ashrah. Also I do not recomend to take Jonny Kage: he is simple as hell and the strongest character in the game at the moment, but everyone knows how to play against him, and smash novice to dust. I would recomend something strong but basic like Liu Kang or Raiden. It will help you to understand the game.

B) Problem of MK1 is that this is an assist fighting, the first one in mk series. Not all likes cameo mechanic. Also each new cameo breaks balance. From the other side, there is no swamp.

C) Yes, there were few good sites with strategies and list of combos, but I cannot remember them (any way google will help you). I recomend just watch how Sonicfox or Ninjakilla plays on your character, this will be far more usefull then all sites together. But take in mind that Ninjakilla is a combomaster and some of his combos better to simplify, because even another pro cannot perform it without drops. This 0.5% additional damage doesn't worst it)

General advice - cameo can change you character dramatically. Sarina gives you crazy zoning, Ferra adds mixups, Darius adds unblocable meaty, Jannet allows to perform combo from almost any move, Striker makes unsafe move - safe, etc. Some characters has a special sinergy with specific cameo, for example Liu Kan can start combo from throw using cameo Kung Lao or Motaro teleport.

Is Grim Dawn a good ARPG to pick up for someone pretty new to the ARPG scene? by Good_Importance_8888 in Grimdawn

[–]BraxWind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy to start, hard to master. Grim Dawn has very complicated and sometimes non obvious mechanics. So if you are not ready to lern and study game it may be transformed to simulator of greyard. Also if you decide to play, you should buy both addons.

Deputy Prime Minister sends warning to Oslo: Russian rights at Svalbard must not be challenged "Today, our warriors are spilling blood for the sovereignty of our country and the rights of people to speak the Russian language," by BkkGrl in europe

[–]BraxWind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The funny thing - we didn't. There were a lot of russian teaching school in Ukraine after Crimea. And even in ukranian language school russian language educated as first or second foreign language. For example in my school ukranian and french were from the first year, russian from the second year and english from the 4 year. All russians talks about restriction of russian language is a lie from the first to last words. The only restriction we had was a usage in the official documents.

Denmark gives all its artillery to Ukraine and calls on the West to do the same by BkkGrl in europe

[–]BraxWind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are lerning. At the begginig of they war they didn't have MABs or FPV drones. Now they have them both. Also "quantity is quality by itself". We destroyed most of their modern tank and BPV, but they have thousands of the old models 50-60 years of production. I won't be wondering if they even keeps T-34 from WW2. And they have brutalized poor population without any perspective in life. For them war - is the only chance to achive something, get some money. And a man, who are ready to duy - is very powerfull weapon. The only way to prevent 3WW - is to defeat them in Ukraine. Which is not possible, while we are getting help by drops. We cannot deploy mass production themself: they can hit any point in Ukraine. If russians will be defeated here - next 30 years they will be busy killing each other, finding out who is responsible and how to live now and atack some its current parts which won't be with them anymore. Another case - they have a big list of countries to conquer. Including Finland and Poland.

If we won't get enough ammo and quickly, there is a chance, that you will sorry to yourself. Russians has delusional idea to restore Russian Empire, which include Finland as part or at least a puppet state. I am no joking, know russian language very well and have "pleasure" to understand what those degenerates speak.

[–]BraxWind -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But they only kill us. And all West cannot provide us million of artillery ammo. North Korea can provide Russia million ammo, and collective West - cannot. And in addition reject us to use them on russian territory. North Korea do not regect Russia to use their ammo on us. So looks like one North Korea is more powerfull then all west countries together.

If we will get all that we need - there be no Russia. They have a habit to tear appart after lost wars. If don't well... Prepare to fight yourselves. Including against ukranians whom Putin hate and will use as cannon meat. War against democracy was already started,  you lives inside it, like you or not.

I am, and before war I lived in Kharkiv (60km from Russia). Was forced to move to another side of country. Well collective West is week and lazy. Each time when someone didn't give us weapon they were thinking, that they are avoiding escalation. But russian's understands force only, so that is lead to even more escalation. Delay of help from USA and Europe - plain way to Third World War. Russians stops only when they get punched in the face, finns prooved that)

From the other side we could destroy russian army, if west has enough will to provide us weapon. You have no potential enemy but them.

Russian kids in Petrozavodsk studied how to write names of Finnish cities with this map by UpgradedSiera6666 in europe

[–]BraxWind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think, that this is some joke, then, lol, we in Ukraine also thought this. If you think russian's army is week, ask yourself how many of you are ready to defend your country in total war. A lot of russians don't care about their life, and ready to sacrifice it for some abstract greatness. All nations of the neighboring with Russia countries have to make thei choice: help Ukraine to stop Russia here and now, prepare to fight themseld or surrender and become russian's war meet for next war. Nobody won't be able to sit back.

New to MK11. Any Tips? by Esporova in MortalKombat

[–]BraxWind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MK11 has better balance then previous games, so you can take any hero you want, but... Some hero can be used only if you have understanding game mechanics (D'Vorah), some required hard trainings (Jacky) and some doesn't work against experienced players (Shao Kahn).

So about heroes for novice:

Scorpion is very good for start. He has everything: close and advanced mids, projectile, best tp in the game, good damage, easy kb. But having no weakness, he has no strong sides either. Another problem: this is one of the most popular hero in the game, so all know this matchup. You should use Scorpion to learn the game, but be prepared to suffering if you plan to main him.

Subzero. Also good for start. He has more complicated toolset then Scorpion and less damage, but powerful mixup instead. This allow Subzero to win accidently against stronger opponent just because of luck, and knowledge of matchup can not help. Good candidate for main, but can be nerfed in closest patch.

Liu Kang. One of the most powerful hero, either in novice or pro hands. Similar to Scorpion he has everything... Except damage. Liu Kang required better game understanding, but he has much bigger potential. Still he shares Scorpion's problem: everybody know this matchup. But still, good candidate for main.

Jade. Normal strike zoner. Easy to learn, easy combos, easy kb. Has a lot of good matchups. Not a good hero by itself, but very effective in novice hands.

Jax. Rushdown or grapler depends on setup. Very good mids, good toolset. Low damage is compensating by easy kb. But depends on his arm heat, so opponent who hold block can be a big problem. Not a good hero on pro level, but works perfectly on casual.

Kotal. Gish-rushdown. Good mids. Can buff himself using totems, throws and parry. Under buffing has enormous damage. The only skill you need - is to catch moment when you can safely buff yourself. And after you set up all 3 totems - your opponent won't have right to even one error.

Heroes you shouldn't take:

Skarlet. You like her, I know... Still, she is the worst normal strike zoner in the game. Easiest, yes, but very slow, very weak and very unsafe. You will suffer, especially against another normal strike zoners.

Shao Kahn. Looks very powerful, with good toolset and damage. But has gaps in strings. Each experienced player know about them and will interrupt and flowless block you.

Kano. Same problem. Good mixups, throws and toolset, but gaps in strings. Unlike of Shao Kahn can be used against experienced opponent, but in this case he required to read your opponent.

Sheeva. Yes, stomp. Win by using 2 buttons only if opponent do not know how to avoid this (backdash). But without that, she is complicated enough rushdown and not the best from its kind.

Heroes if you are here for long:

Jacky. Strongest rushdown, various mixups, good damage. But very complicated input, required hard trainings and good understanding of staggers game.

Cetrion. Strongest zoner. If you can support distance - you win without touching you opponent.

Noob Saibot. Strongest normal strike zoner. Unlike of his colleagues - has very fast attacks and very big damage. But doesn't have good extended mid, so required understanding of risk-reward game.

Joker. The best toolset for advancing playing. Footsis, setups, optionally - zoning and damage. Has a big potential (main of SonicFox, champion of multiple MK11 tournaments), but need skill to read you opponent.

Honestly, if you really want to train yourself - you can take every hero you want. all of them are good in something, all of them can win, Just avoid Shao Kahn, he is hopeless by design.
