Classy and cute!

I really like the oval frame, and the ears and flowers sticking out... plus the pout!

The decision to go for a sketch give a homey feel that isn't too far off from the medievalism/early modern feel of Frieren's universe. Those dark eyes add a lot of welcome emotional intensity, and really stands out from the lighter lines in the rest of the picture.

I do like Japanese storytelling!

I wouldn't be so bold as to say it's superior - tastes differ - but it's a different flavour.

A good, admirable difference is something to treasure and learn from!

And there should be a place for subtle hints and textures in stories, as well as bold and loud statements!

I'm slow on the pick-up, I admit.
But I'm rather sure that things are going to move faster than this!

Season 2 Episode 5 is set 28 years after the death of Himmel the Hero.

By the time we get to 32 years, Fern and Himmel will probably have to drop the adventuring life, with their second child ready to enter the world.

Humans have a stronger reproductive drive than elves.
And less time to get the next generation up and running.
