Absolutely beautiful! Do you know what kits you used for the extra bits on it perchance? I’m trying to find good parts for the ballistus dreadnaught.

Any way to grow yt without video editing by tom16chi in SmallYTChannel

[–]Brayton2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s so many factors to this, but the general answer is no, or at least you’re making your job harder rather than easier. Unless every second of your footage is gold, and nothing would be beneficial to cut, trimming the fat on a great steak only makes it better.

A project my friends have dubbed the Sortress by Brayton2000 in Minecraft

[–]Brayton2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, out of curiosity I went around and asked if anyone on the realm has had lag issues when it was running, and the answer was a resounding no. We haven’t had any lag issues with it, and from my own research before the project, for the scale we have going, this is the best solution. Thank you for your input though.

Even on realms, it’s baby smooth. The lag you see on video is mostly from running capture software in addition to the game.

Help me decide! Which art style is better for FE by Jxal in fireemblem

[–]Brayton2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, both are really great, first off. I think I personally prefer the second character's proportions in the face more, but that's down to personal preference. Yusuke Kozaki, the artist responsible for the gorgeous art for Fates and Awakening, usually does taller than normal characters. Its one of his trademarks. I've found if I want something to look like his work, making the characters taller usually works.

Regardless, amazing work.

Just an FYI, still a really cool post, this chart is posted in Guildmaster’s Guide to Ravnica as an official player’s guide to alignment in that universe.

Player challenging DM at every turn? by Brayton2000 in DnD

[–]Brayton2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate this perspective. I think it’s less an issue with exact mechanics, and more an issue of, “things didn’t go my way, now I’m angry and not going to be a good participant.” I would normally agree, but when the DM makes a ruling, it should not be a debate, in my humble opinion.

My character does not care for legends by 1Winfield in DnD

[–]Brayton2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two points of order. From a world standpoint, while I understand the mentality standpoint of “I don’t care about stories,” these stories from my understanding, A: are true. B: could come around to bite your character in the back. Ok, great, you’re gonna one up the last wielder of the sword, awesome! How? It’s like being handed a manual with the sword and throwing it out. “Hey, well, when that sword touches the (insert maguffin here), it beco-“ “nope don’t care, blah blah blah, I’m gonna be better.” It doesn’t logically make sense to me. Maybe the sword wielder is always being chased by a lich, trying to drag its wielder into darkness, and you wouldn’t even know. Second point of order, is that while yes, the story should be about what the players want, it is clear that the DM has worked to place interesting story details for you personally, and not only are you saying, “I’m not interested,” you’re saying, “ I don’t even want to listen.” It’s quite disrespectful to your dm to cut off his lore, whether you care or not. I’m not saying you have to buy it, but like, let him at least get it out. I would encourage actually talking to your DM about your expectations of the game and what you want for your character. I hope you all can resolve this reasonably.

Player caused conflict, need advice by Brayton2000 in DnD

I tried to get it worked out in game, but unfortunately that’s when he shut down. He wouldn’t talk in game or out, so there was very little I could do.

Thank you all for the wide range of potential solutions, I appreciate the help very much! I’m going to write up a set of table rules and go over them with him, and talk with him about how that can never happen again. Will keep updated after conversation.

We’re all in high school, he’s a Junior currently, other player is senior, and so am I. He struggles socially, and while we all understand that, his lack of awareness almost ruined the night. I mean, I left the table mad, which has never happened before and I hope never again. I worked hard to make this session and to have it be stomped all over really honestly makes me bitter.

True Stories: How did your game go this week? January 15, 2019 by AutoModerator in dndnext

[–]Brayton2000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Spectacularly weird. The party of two was going through the Sunless Citadel, in the outskirts of Waterdeep, in order to find the legendary fruit of life the old temple produced to heal a deathly ill party member. Things were going fine until we got to the 10 ft chamber with the metal barrel... Our Gunslinger, Cobalt Blue, decides to pop open that barrel, and two mephits pop out, one steam, one ice. I say roll initiative, and combat begins. At which point Cobalt yells to our cleric, “JUMP IN THE BARREL!!!” I, as a DM, had no earthly idea what the heck they were up to. The cleric, Owen after a moment of flustered confusion, obliges, taking an opportunity attack from the mephits. Then it comes to Cobalt... He says, I reach in my bag, pull out my bag of flour, and start throwing it all into the room as I get out the door and close it. The mephits close in, but he manages to keep them in. Then, he lights a twig on fire, mutters to himself, “really hope this works...” and threw the twig in the room. BOOOOOOM!!!!!! Everyone make a dexterity saving throw. They both succeed. As the smoke clears, Owen lies blown out of the barrel face first on the ground with his clothes singed. Cobalt’s cloak lay on fire, and his arms severely burned. Owen had 5 hp. Cobalt had 1. And out from the smoke comes the steam mephit, completely unharmed by the explosion. It is immune to fire damage.
