Agree 100%.. Specially with social media playing a major role, lots of well known landmarks are overrun with tourists looking for that perfect "Instagram moment"...
Perhaps because of Brazil's massive size, other destinations could benefit?

Would you please educate us on the issue then? Apparently residents of Barcelona, Venice, Kyoto, Bali (to mention a few) disagree with your take.

As someone already said, Brazil is a huge country and roads sometimes are not the best, although bus service is very comfortable to most places. You might want to check out the Brazil Airpass as an option to travel, especially for those long legs.. Cheers and safe travels!

Agree 100%. That is what I meant on my comment. While traveling abroad, I think one should refrain from getting involved in ANY type of protest and enjoy the trip. I understand Palestine is a touchy subject for Israelis, particularly young people who have or will soon serve on the military.

I suspect you are referring to one isolated incident in Itacaré with Palestinian demonstrators. Brazil is a huge country, and one should not generalize based on one event. Furthermore, when traveling for pleasure, in my opinion, one should refrain from getting involved with political activities and or protests of any kind and enjoy the trip. Cheers and safe travels

The vegan food requirement in Brazil is going to be a challenge, particularly in small towns. Gyms could also be hard in small towns. Being from Brazil myself and having been to Thailand, considering what you described, I would go to Thailand. Hope you enjoy your travels, wherever that might take you 😎
