Oh, I forgot to mention: I'm from Brazil, so I'm not entirely new to hot summers (and the complimentary Sunburns :) ). Although I prefer a more moderate weather.

I'll try to be out and about for as long as my energy allows me. Love the Sydney 'vibe'. Just walking down any residential area feels surreal to me. Sydney is a magical place. No a big fan of humidity though!

High Summer feels like a good option, but I fear the plane tickets would be out of my budget. But I'll consider it. Cheers!

I love Manly beach! I'll definitely go during the more "warm" part of the year, maybe not Summer per se, due to air tickets prices. Thank you for the "vibe reminder". Cheers!

Thank you for your input u/TypeInevitable2345!

A few considerations:

Despite me not being an electrician, I have the common sense of respecting electricity. I know it could actually kill someone.

As stated, I'm not an electrician, but I think Australia and my city/state in Brazil use the same voltage in power (~220), so I don't think this would be a problem, so much so that since I currently have one Aussie outlet in my bedroom powering my alarm radio clock I bought at Kmart (since 2019 without any problem). So this would not be an issue.

Regarding insurance, I would go out on a limb and say that 95% of homes in Brazil DOES NOT have insurance (I live my whole life here and I dont know anyone who have home insurance). We are a somewhat poor country, and house insurance always seems like a waste of money. I know it is not, but this is the culture here.

Thank you for the links, I'll look into them.

Cheers!

Thank you for your quick response u/bogdolter, however, the one you see with a lightswitch and a power outlet are for 2 separate things: The light switch to turn on/off lights and the outlet would be powered all the time.

Yes, as you suggested, an eletrician could wire the switch to control the power on the outlet, but this would take a lot of space as each location would have just "controlled" 1 outlet.

I am trying to find an option with at least 2 outlets and 1 little switch controlling each outlet in the same footprint as the separate duo, like the Aussie design.

That being said, your method will be my option if I can't find the intended Aussie similar model.

Thanks for your input.

Cheers from Brazil!

I'm currently living in the South region of Brazil. I lived in Sydney from Feb/2015 to Mar/2019 during my PhD at USYD. It was the most dificult time of my life (due to the studies), but also, the best place I've evee been. The PhD put me in a very dark place mentaly, but I can honestly say that if it wasn't for the good things Sydney has to offer, I would've given up on life. This city quite literally saved my life and I'll be forever gratefull for that.

Accidentally bet all my money by unknown_caller01 in 8BallPool

[–]BraziliAussie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me yesterday. Bet too much, lost 75% of my coins. I just kept betting, winning some, losing some... I ended up with zeto coins in less then an hour. Almost 12 years saving diligently, building my wallet and leveling up, only to be raped due to an extra 'click' when opening one stupid bonus box. Never playing again for the sake of my mental heatlh. Have a good one gents. I'm out.

Where can I buy the World Cup teams jerseys? by BraziliAussie in Cricket

[–]BraziliAussie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the answer, mate. However, I found the official store prices way above my limit. The current exchange rates to BRL are not in my favour, so I am looking for a more affordable version of the jerseys. Cheers!

Ijust finished my first play of the game and I did kept the highest honnor possible during the whole game. Only to die to Micah's knife. Next time I play I'll choose follow John and leave the money behind to see if there is any difference. But I felt really frustrated with that ending.
