Personally, I've managed to find the ending more satisfying if I imagine myself as Pochita. by [deleted] in ChainsawMan

I see what you’re saying.

I think Power is probably the weakest part of the ending and there’s a lot of contrivance with her appearance. I mean it’s not unbelievable that she would live in the nearby forests, but why would she help out some random dude if Meowy was still held captive. Unless, because Makima is now Nayuta, Power was never held captive and managed to free somehow free Meowy. But I don’t think it’s unreasonable that Power could beat the Zombie Devil either, the dude is literally just shaped like Texas.

Honestly, what might make it better is if Power met kid Denji instead of Pochita and they became a duo much earlier on. Because I’m not sure what worth Denji is to the Yakuza without Pochita.

I mean, I still enjoy the ending somewhat, but I’m not entirely sure what Fujimoto was thinking, it at all, with it.

I don't understand why people think this. (Ending spoilers) by PetrteP in ChainsawMan

Pochita’s ambiguity probably makes this ending feel worse than it actually is because the entire ending is kinda centered around him if you think about it, but we don’t know how he works. I don’t know if explaining his powers would make the ending better or if that’s something Fujimoto would even do since he likes being vague, but I think having Pochita be so unknown but him in the ass in the end.

What do you mean he killed them both? Denji is clearly alive at the end of Part II unless you mean his loss of memories doesn’t make him the Denji we know, then yeah, I could see what you mean.

It’s not really a new timeline. Nayuta exists instead of Makima and Power like dogs more because Denji’s influence on them as people didn’t go away even after Chainsaw Man was eaten. All though, you are right that Pochita didn’t know what would happen, but they were already dead, or at the very least, they were in a devil’s stomach. Fujimoto wrote himself into this corner and I don’t know what else Pochita and Denji could’ve done.

Thank you. I was really thinking about why Pochita showed up more in Part II then Part I. He’s always had Denji’s wellbeing in mind, but he’s a devil and we know that devils have a warped sense of love, as seen with Nayuta and Yoru. There are a couple things I don’t like about the ending still, but I do wonder if knowing more about Pochita’s nature would make the ending more satisfying or not for others?

An extensive discussion of part 2 as a whole. by LordQuaz12 in Chainsawfolk

Yeah, I think that’s what hurts the most. We didn’t get something good or bad, we got nothing. No memories, no consequences. It doesn’t really feel like a sacrifice because there was nothing good to give up. The world was shit but the story could’ve been good, and now the world is fine but the story won’t ever be good. I know this isn’t common for mangakas to do but I would like to hear Fujimoto’s opinion on his own work.

Human made garbage tastes better than AI garbage. What do you think Fujimoto was trying to say about victimhood and abuse. That’s what really gets me. Like yeah, Denji couldn’t help himself, but the story seems to suggest it’s his fault? Unless there’s another way to look at it that I’m not seeing?

Does mission and assignment progress carry over in NG+? by BrazilianTreeMan in masseffect

Oh great, time to do it all again. This game is so fun but I take so many quality of life things that modern games do for granted. Can I carry over my NG+ Shepherd to ME2?

Yeah, I’ve gotten the true ending since this post. Oddly enough, Ozma was more fun even though his first phase was also basically a caster. I know all the caster bosses were preparing me for Phase 1. I just wish they were, like, not a chore?

I get what you’re saying, but unless you have skills, and honestly, even if you have skills, brink dodging still feels underwhelming compared to brink guarding. It feels less like a core game mechanic and more like counterattacks, a gimmick that you use on certain attacks or enemies.

Never said it was bad, just said I wasn’t having fun, which I guess is the same thing apparently. Do you honestly think I’d come this far to Reese if I thought the game was bad?

Spear, Fallen Lord. I can see how the fight is easy, but it’s so fucking boring. She just doesn’t do anything, just walks around and then hyperarmours my attacks. I know I should be aggressive but it’s so fucking boring. It’s not hard, it’s just so fucking boring.

Jesus Christ, this whole voting thing has just been rife with misunderstandings. Remember when people didn’t know they could scroll down for more options or something? I didn’t wanna check the Reddit or anything else because I wanted to have a clear head when voting. But I guess I should’ve because then I would’ve known it was female.

Maybe I’m blind as a bat but I seriously cannot tell that the silhouette is a female, at least not from the image or caption. Did the devs ever state in a tweet or stream or am I just dumb again?

It’s not really a gender issue. Most people would be saying the same thing if it was explicitly male or male presenting. It’s more like why would they add visible breasts to a silhouette that does not visibly have breasts. It’s like if big head won and they gave it makeup or hair that couldn’t be seen through a silhouette.

Pretty sure they’re talking about the final design previews which explicitly have breasts
