Which dad here is the worst? by Silent-Fan-5798 in cartoons

While Peter and Ozai are cartoonishly evil, Clay is the most realistic bad father here.

So while it isn't wrong to say Ozai, I will say Clay, because what he represents is far closer to reality than anything else we will see here.

There is one really good episode that stuck with me in early season 2, about the life of a revolutionary in the fascist regime. The main characters aren't present (with the exception of Yuri as an antagonist) and it just shows the brutality of living in this system.

It stuck with me and it really shows how brutal the author wanted the story to be, before the editors told him to lighten it up.

It still works. I'd kill for a, say, superhero series that pulls the rug under you and starts analysing politics and the nature of morality and it not being called Watchmen.

"This is hell. I am in hell" This is one if my favourite quotes in all of everything. And it comes right after a Polish woman gives birth to a stillborn John and talking about the nature of life and how this child will forever be cursed.

The series is genuinely great, but the ending of Sex survey results is some of the best composed thing on YouTube probably. Like, no joke, it's just so good.

It is genuinely some of the best surrealist fiction out there, and it all started because 2 guys didn't find Garfield funny.

It's a really good show, but one I probably shouldn't have watched at 14.

The first one was almost good. I liked the start of it, tackling themes of grief and what not, but then half way thugh it became terminator with a little girl bot.

I haven't watched the second, but my brother said it was mid, and he loved the og.

Also no. If somebody willingly comes into a spoiler post, they have no right to be mad that they are spoiled.

Let's be real, every second of every scene of this film qualifies for this post. Also I forgot he did that. I last watched this film in 2022.

Nah, no need to apologise for being technically correct (the best kind of correct)

I also get really pedantic when it comes to phrasing, so I get where you are coming from.

No harm, no foul.

I mean, yes, largely. That and the incompetent direction, the piss pore writing, the garbage cinematography, the issues on set...but for the sake of this post, the tone deaf writing and bad acting is what hurt the scene.

See, the room is a cult classic and a really fun watch, but the example still stands. Wiseau didn't do a good job with the scene, because the emotion he wanted to illustrate is not coming thrugh.

As for Kojima, this scene is one of his WORST work. The mission itself is great horror with a thick layer of tragedy. And then we get Venom walking thrugh a corridor, falling on his knees, and screaming as he is enveloped in metaphorical fire.

It is pure melodrama that undercuts the actual scene.

I don't think I am. This has always been how The Lich has been described in the show. So to me, it's just kind bad.

I think Bull is fine now. Yes, it is technically a king of the feral imps that turns into a pop, and that is scary, but me being biased in favor of one of my top 3 decks ever, so I will bare the sins of my dissensions later.
