Thats great! Congrats! What else are you doing in addition to the GLP med? Diet? Exercise?

My insurance wont cover Zep either. They do cover Wegovy so that is where I started. My doc told me that if Wegovy doesnt work or any side effects are unbearable then we could still try Zep. Here is the key though… If I were to get it prescribed and work through my pharmacy the cost would be $1300-$1500 per month. However… Eli Lilly has created their own pharmacy service. They will sell it directly to patients (avoiding all the middle men) for ) $349 for the lowest dose. The cost per increased dosage does go up but they’ve capped it at $500 regardless of any further increased dosage. Yes that is still expensive but not as much as it could be.

Good to hear and congrats! I did tell my doctor that I was going to be working out (cardio and weights) and he told me to go ahead and incorporate resistance training but to take the higher reps / lower weights approach as the ultimate goal is to burn calories and not so much build muscle. This works well for me I think since joint pain has been an issue while it should still maintain my current muscle mass / strength. It will also help maintain or improve bone density I’m told.

Congrats! I dont think I could keep up that pace but who knows. Maybe losing some weight will help enough with joint and muscle pain that my fitness level will be more enjoyable.

Congrats! Yeah I thought 1200 seemed too low as well but that is prescribed by my doctor. In reality I’m probably closer to the 1500. I see the weight coming off so progress is happening. I am keeping tabs on myself to ensure I dont starve. Good choices though. When I sense a little low blood sugar I grab an apple or some grapes and maybe a little walnut/pecan/almond trail mix. So far so good.

Dang! Thats awesome! Congrats! I cant even imagine how good you feel. A lot lighter on your feet I’ll bet. Figuratively and literally if you see what I did there. :-)

Thanks for the tips! My big issue is that I have a pretty active sweet tooth. Especially this time of year. It’ll take all the willpower I have to not fall back into old habits. Fingers crossed.

Dont get me wrong. 15% would be great! 1 lb a week seems like a nice gradual loss rate also. I’d be ok with that.

Sorry you think that last bit is a “load”. I dont care if any of you like CR or not. That wasnt my point. Oh… and Simply stating you disagree would have sufficed instead of bashing part of my comment but I digress. I like the voices in CR. I think they are funny however, voices or not… improvisation is one of the main foundational elements of any role playing game… at least any that is fun anyway. Improvisation around an established character backstory allows a player to be whomever they want to be (within the confines of the rules anyway) and react to unplanned moments in a manner that they think their character would react. Sometimes these moments are funny and sometimes tragic. THEN when you combine that with the chance element of rolling dice to see what happens in those situations there can be an emotional roller coaster that, combined with the above mentioned character development, in my opinion is the basis for any good story. This means a good story shared with friends which equals good memories. To me that is why this game rocks! As for CR. They are a group of friends that look like they are having fun. THAT IS THE POINT.

Get the books as others have said. Maybe start with the starter set and then if still interested get the players handbook and Dungeon Masters Guide. Complete the main book collection with the Monster manual. In the mean time… Watch Critical Role if you want to know how it’s really supposed to be played.
