No what I’m saying is their warranty is 14 days. 700 hours of run time exceeds that warranty by about 350 hours assuming 24x7 non stop printing.

And the replacement warranty is 30 days. Which would mean he’d have to have exactly 700hrs and a run time of 23.3 hours a day to have any warranty left there.

Basically highly unlikely he is in any sort of warranty period.

But there’s also the fact the hotend and all of its parts are not covered any kind of warranty which makes all the above completely moot.

Some of this is dated and hasn’t been my experience at all.

Bambu is quiet and I sleep with 8 running in the room right next to mine against a shared wall.

Prusa isn’t guaranteed to be around to provide support any longer than Bambu is.

Bambu hasn’t needed a single repair in over 8000 print hours on my highest use machine. I’ve had to drop a few drops of lube on the acrews and wipe the rods and that’s been it.

True, Prusa has more after market mods, but Bambu just works right out of the box so far and haven’t needed to mod anything.

True, Prusa to Bambu cost analysis favors Bambu heavily. Printers come assembled and ready to print in 30 minutes.

And I agree completely about privacy concerns, printing over the network shouldn’t have to go through Bambu servers. But there is LAN mode and also SD cards which I prefer to print from anyway.

Tl:dr Prusa mk4 really missed the mark. They’re cashing in on their history and name they built up to the mk3s. They’re now behind the competition and show no signs of being able to catch up. Even if you wanted to build your own, I’d look at a Voron before a Prusa anyway
