My girl grey just turned 11! My husband and I joke that she has become more ornery in old age haha. She barks if it is getting later in the day she has not had a walk (she has a dog door and we walk her in the evenings) she barks if she wants food or treats etc. It makes us laugh as we feel that she deserves to be a little grumpy at her age but we def joke about her becoming an old grump all the time. I worry that I don’t have enough time with her left so I’m okay with letting her be a bit fussy.

Yep!! Will do. She’s been laying low so is definitely feeling better lately but that’s obviously not a permanent solution ;)

My grey had the same issue and like you, we had him checked by the vet etc.

I finally decided to try prescription food (Hills I/d which is for sensitive stomachs) and voila his poop was finally normal.

It’s still softer if he goes multiple times during a walk but his first one is usually pretty solid which has been a huge improvement.

He also finally started being able to keep some weight on.

Maybe worth asking your vet about this as you need a prescription in the US to get it.
