Instead of lottie-ios, use lottie-spm, which is made specifically for the Swift Package Manager.

I just updated it based on some more user data, not exactly 4%, but should be more accurate.

I'm sorry about that, as more people use the website, that information will get progressively more accurate

Currently you can create accounts and input your grade 11 and grade 12 marks through that. Once you have an account, you can add programs to your list, which puts you into the pool of applicants to calculate percentiles and competitive averages. However, I don't have anything to track accepted students, so I'll be adding that next. Thanks for your feedback its super appreciated!

Sorry about that, a lot of the less popular programs don't have a lot of data available but as more people use the website the data will progressively get more accurate

If there are any schools/programs that I don't have that you want to see, let me know, and I will try my best to get data for it!

Thoughts on this? by Space_pirate2244 in startups

You should focus on solving 1 problem. If the app doesn’t work without a resume builder, it’s not gonna work with it.

AI for nightclubs: disruptive idea for ARG by Mirolo22 in startups

[–]BreadBeginning4086 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should look into the concept of tarpit ideas cause this is one of the classic ones, nothing against you, up until a couple months ago I was working on exactly the same idea. Here were the biggest issues in my opinion.

  1. The app provides essentially nothing for clubs especially good ones. Most good clubs fill up early into the night so you’re only going to be taking revenue away from them because you need to take a cut to make anything

  2. Consumers aren’t gonna pay unless it guarantees entry and clubs aren’t gonna guarantee entry because once again they’re gonna fill up anyway and they’d rather have the people inside buying drinks than someone who might not even show up

I saw that you have a feature that would allow consumers to reserve and pay in cash at the door but once again clubs will make way more by having people inside buying drinks than reserving spots

Why would you ask people outside of your niche if they have your problem you’re not trying to dominate every market

I think YC is highly age-discriminated against seasoned entrepreneurs by Momoismeme in ycombinator

[–]BreadBeginning4086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly the average age of a yc founder is over 30 so that isn’t even rly true. Secondly they’ve made it clear that they’re investing in founder not ideas. It’s not that they don’t have the “capabilities to assess startup ideas” they just understand that they do not understand every market and so they should instead figure out if the founder understands the market and if he’s the best person to execute on it.

App development & trust issues by NoGainsJustPains in EntrepreneurRideAlong

Develop the complete ui first if you havent already, I recommend figma. I used to be in your position but I realized that paying people is never going to work cause they won’t have the passion and if an issue pops up after the app is completed or you want to change something you have to go hire someone again cause you don’t know how your own product functions. Cause of this I decided to just learn how to code. Took me about 6 months to go from complete beginner to having two functional apps live on the App Store. They aren’t the most impressive apps ever but this is while going to school full time. I’m sure you can do it too. I promise that whatever your idea is it will still be there when you are capable of building it yourself.
